You will create a 5 minutes presentation on a local (Central Valley + wherever local is for you I live in Modesto,CA) activist organization of your choice. In this presentation, you will cover (as relevant) the organization’s mission, leadership, social issues addressed, target audiences, known activism, fundraising, events, technology used, and any mobilization tactics that you can identify. In other words, I am looking for a comprehensive, albeit really succinct, presentation of your research on a non-profit/ activist organization in our community. The ultimate goal of these presentations, taken together, is for the class to acquire a thurough understanding of the local activist organization landscape. Slides are expected and should be posted in an Activist Organization Presentation Discussion after your turn presenting. Aim for no more than 1 slide per minute!
