Advertising Analysis

Overview
Over the past couple of weeks, you have been researching advertising and public relations. Project #3 Advertising Analysis requires you to think about your three (3) advertisements that were memorable to you. Use PowerPoint or Google Slides to present this assignment as they have pictures and text templates.
Outcome
By completing this assignment, you will be meeting the criteria for Student Learning Outcome 2, which is to identify multiple theories of mass communication and the roles of media in society and be able to analyze and apply these theories in the use and presentation of images.
Select one (1) television/internet ad, one (1) magazine ad, and one (1) billboard.
Place a copy of each of your ads in the presentation and answer the following questions:
What is the purpose of the advertisement?
Who is the intended audience for this advertisement? What are their demographics?
What advertising techniques and media theories are used in this advertisement? (refer to chapter 11 in your textbook)
Look at this amusing animation titled Love in the Time of Advertising below and summarize what it means to you in 350-500 words. Include a still frame image from the short film in your presentation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk2ygwjpvJg&feature=emb_logo
Please try to limit your responses for Project #3 to 12 slides including your cover slide.

Criteria

The project contains a cover slide with the student name, date, and title of the project. The project has three slides that have a still frame of a video commercial, a picture of a magazine ad, and a picture of a billboard. The questions are answered on the same slide as the pictures. The final slide contains a still-frame of the Love in the Time of Advertising animation with a 350-500 word summary. The project is submitted on time.

The project questions should include demographics, psychographics, multiple ad persuasion techniques, and analogous comparisons to emphasize your points. Critical thinking should be evidenced in analysis answers and summary.

The project conforms to the basic grammar mechanics of the English language. The project uses proper punctuation, subject-verb agreement, capitalization, and spell-check.
