Additional research and advocacy for an issue or topic that impacts young children’s development and well-being
Choose an issue or topic that impacts young children’s development and well-being. This might be a topic that affects children directly such as food insecurity or poor quality environments, or something that is indirect, such as low teacher wages or inadequate child care subsidies. Research this topic by reviewing a minimum of 3 information sources in addition to our text, including websites, research articles and/or by conducting interviews with experts on this topic. Write a 3- to 4-page report, using the prompts below. In your paper, identify what topic you researched, the 3 (or more) resources you used to get more information, what you learned or found interesting in your research on the issue and how you would share this information with families, colleagues, the community, etc. to advocate for awareness and action on this topic. Paper should be double-spaced, use 12 point font and 1-inch margins, and follow APA guidelines when citing resources. The assignment will be graded using this rubric.
