1. Look up/Search for the official USA Government definition of Affirmative Action. You will need to include this definition in your paper. It will count as your “Academic Source”.
2. Look up/Search for a news article, or other popular culture (blog, YouTube video, magazine article) source on Affirmative Action. Also think critically about whether or not the source is likely to express a political bias. If you believe the source might be biased, keep looking.
3. Write a two page paper taking a position on affirmative action. Cite as many of the four sources above as possible. You must cite your academic source and your popular culture source.
4. Include a works cited page. MLA or APA style are both fine. Use Purdueowl.com to locate MLA or APA “style guides” for help with citation.
