Again, write in college level readable English writing around 1 page, single spaced, how you see what you learned (or not) in critical thinking skills. Write a cogent opinion.

Critical thinking has been described as an ability to question, especially one’s own beliefs; to acknowledge and test previously held assumptions about others and the world; to recognize ambiguity and nuance; to examine, interpret, evaluate, reason, and reflect about information; to make informed judgments and decisions; and to clarify, articulate, and justify positions based on facts, rather than opinions. It is the ability to discriminate between facts/evidence and points of view/ideology.

Critical thinking entails the examination of those elements of though implicit in all reasoning: purpose, problem, assumptions, concepts, empirical grounding, reasoning leading to conclusions, implications and consequences, and consideration of alternative viewpoints. It can be seen has having two main components: 1) a set of information processing skills, and 2) the habit, based upon intellectual commitment, of using those skills to guide behavior.

At the end of this course, state your opinion about what you learned, or did not learn, about the importance of scientific knowledge based upon evidence gathered through research, and if you acquired or developed critical thinking skills.

I am posting under modules a document entitled “Notes on critical thinking” to help you write this opinion.
