Civil Liberties are legal and constitutional rights that protect citizens from government actions.
Civil Rights specify what protections the government must provide to its citizens.
The 4th, 5th and 6th and 8th Amendments are all important to Civil Liberties.
Please explain the importance of each amendment. (60 points)

Choose out of the 4 Amendments which is most important to you in light of civil liberties. What civil liberty is most important to you if you could only choose one of the four. 40 points)
4th-Unreasonable search and seizure (need probable cause)
5th-Right against self-incrimination and double jeopardy
6th- speedy trial, jury trial, right to counsel, right to confront witnesses
8th- excessive fines and bail, no cruel and unusual punishment
