Essay Grading Rubric:
1. Focus: Focus on one aspect, find an interesting title
2. Content: Content focused on at least one primary source. If you reference more than one story, they must be connected in some way. The essay may be personal/reflective, or analytical. You must make reference to materials that we covered in class and cite accurately and appropriately. One secondary source must be incorporated, and it must be scholarly and cited accurately. You may use more than one. You must write between 3-5 pages.
3. Structure and Organization: Story/Analysis developed in a logical order with smooth transitions between paragraphs/ideas.
4. Style: Written clearly and free of grammatical errors. Proofread your work carefully! Use spelling/grammar check
5. Format: Follow MLA guidelines for citations. Include an accurately written bibliography
