an environmental issue Writing in creative writing

CREATIVE WRITING | Poetry
Poems can inspire and illuminate; a poem about the environment can move the reader to action or to tears. Poetic images can be literal or metaphorical; the poet can distill facts or amplify into the realm of imagination. The poet finds ways of using form and style to emphasize content, but whether formal or free verse, the end result will touch the reader.
Poems can be in any form or style but will ideally use imagery and clear expression to evoke an emotional and/or intellectual response in the reader. Poems should address an environmental issue directly or indirectly. Simply mentioning a river or a mountain will likely be insufficient, but the poetry need not be didactic.
