Liquidity Ratio’s
Target has a current asset of $1.03 for every $1 in current liabilities, while Costco has $1.13 for every $1 dollar. A current ratio above $1 indicates liquidity and signifies to investors how well the company is managing their current assets and their liabilities that they are able to pay back within the year. With the data that is provided it is indicated that Costco has a slightly higher current ratio compared to Target. Meaning that Targets for Walmart, Walmart has a current asset of ¢.79 for every $1. What this signifies is that Walmart net capital is negative. This is not a good thing because it indicates that Walmart is not able to meet its obligations. A way that Walmart can do to improve its current ratio is to cut back on some costs that they have as well as pay off any big paying liabilities that they have not paid enough of.
