2. Click on the Top 100 speeches link
3. Click on All speeches by rank
4. You must select 1 of the following speeches that is available by audio in its entirety. Listen to the speech. If it is available in video I recommend that you DO NOT WATCH IT. In our culture one has a tendency to allow the visual to overshadow the oral. These are in no particular order.
What you are to turn in as an attachment and pasted to the text box for this homework assignment follows:
Labeled Purpose: Write the purpose of the speech in no more than 3 sentences
Labeled Opening/Closing Identify the opening and closing statements of the speech. Summarize them in a few words. In 1 2 paragraphs compare the opening and closing.
In a minimum of 300 words
Analyze the style of delivery, the vocal tones, pace and way in which the speech is delivered.
Does the style of delivery add or subtract from the message and purpose of the speech?
Are there unique ways in which the delivery impacts the speech? Explain why or why not.
