As highlighted in the video from FAO,
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is currently one of the most important global
health challenges we face, and one that exemplifies the need for us to develop
a public health response from a systems or ecological perspective.
This week you will write a 500 word essay
(approximately 2 pages) presenting an argument for whether or not you think One
Health is an effective response for addressing Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
globally. In your discussion, be sure to consider how AMR affects the health of
animals, humans, and the environment.
When determining your argument for or
against the effectiveness of the One Health approach in addressing AMR, be sure
to consider any benefits/successes or challenges/barriers to this approach.

Your essay should be double-spaced using a
12 point font and approximately 500 words (2 pages). References do not count
