Use the following theories: strain theories, differential association/social learning theories, and social control/bond theories. How might these theories explain the lives and the characters from The Florida Project? Briefly explain the theories you use and then apply them to the characters and their lives from the film. You can focus on one set of theories or combine the theories in your analysis. If you wish, you can also incorporate conflict and/or feminist theories from chapter 3, but we will be discussing labeling theory in more depth in a subsequent module so do not use labeling theory. So, please focus your analysis on strain theories, differential association/social learning theories, and social control/bond theories.
You need to analyze and answer the questions I have asked using course material, outside source(s), and, if you wish, your life experiences. Your post must be focused on the material we have covered in each Module. It is not enough to just state your views or beliefs or to simply agree or disagree. I am looking for integration with key concepts from the lectures, readings, films, videos, etc. I am looking for relevance, thoughtfulness, and some sociological imagination. You need to bring in material from the readings, textbook, lectures, and/or videos (not necessarily all of them), but you need to directly incorporate and cite a good deal of class material.

-You also need to incorporate an outside (not assigned) credible source with every Long Discussion Post. Please see Tools for Researching for guides on researching and academic and credible sources. Sources may include CREDIBLE newspapers, magazines, websites, or ACADEMIC books or articles.

1) Break your essay into logical, flowing sections/paragraphs. Similar to a research paper.
2) Bold the class terms/concepts you use.
3) You must cite and bold, in-text, for any class material or outside sources in your Long Discussion Post. I have provided the exact in-text citation under each resource (see Modules). You must include a works cited at the end of your essay, but it ONLY needs to include your outside source(s). It is not necessary to include class materialprovided in the Modules in your works cited.
4) Cite your outside source(s) in-text and at the end of your post (works cited) in whatever format you like (e.g., APA, ASA, MLA, etc.)
