1. Pick a topic you’d like to know more about, or a deep question you’d like to answer. Here are some examples: What is Beauty?
What is Truth?
Does God exist?
Are human beings free or are our lives predetermined by outside forces?
Does life have meaning?
Can we know anything for certain?
Pick at least 2 characters to discuss the matter. They can be Socrates and someone else, or a character based on you and someone else, or any other characters.
Begin the dialogue by having one character pose the question to the other character.
Have the other character(s) give an answer to the question.
Have the characters analyze the answer and either accept, revise, or reject the answer.
If the answer is immediately rejected, then have a character give another answer that might be more successful.
Continue discussing until your characters either arrive at a shared view of the matter, decide there is no answer, or realize that they can’t find the answer.
