The objective of this formative assignment is to find a lesson plan that can be integrated with the arts. The lesson plan analysis will emphasize a cross disciplinary approach to adding the arts in k-6 classes. We will eventually adapt the lesson to fit, where needed, the California Visual and Performing Arts Framework for our final.
What you will do:
Find a K-6 lesson plan covering any non-art subject (History, English, Science, etc.).
Identify the following (Big Idea, Interdisciplinary connections, Content Standards, Learning Objectives, Assessment protocol) Provide a few sentences describing these components.
Describe briefly (a few sentences) how you would integrate the arts into this lesson plan. This can be done in a word doc.
When submitting include a copy of the non-art lesson plan you are analyzing ( this is a requirement).
