Below are four examples of art. Choose two pieces of art and compare and contrast each piece. For each piece of art you chose, identify which art theory they belong under, ask the following questions, and write a summary (two paragraphs). Type the two paragraphs and then print the page to submit with the assignment.
Is the art example planned and organized?
Does it tell a story?
Does it enhance the surrounding area?
Does it deface the property it is on?
How is shape and form used in the composition?
Is value (variance of shading) found in the work?
Is space, such as near and far and perspective, included in the composition?
Does the composition have movement?
Is there a focal point (emphasis) in the artwork?
How is color used in the work of art?
What message, if any, do you get from the work?
Does the composition have unity?
What art theory does each artwork belong to?
All of these questions are to help you have the necessary information to write the two paragraphs of the artwork for your compare and contrast.
