Length
There should be a minimum 3 full pages of text (double spaced) with a maximum of 6 pages. This is not counting the cover sheet, footnotes, references, and diagrams.
Format

References
The minimum number of resources not including textbook is 3. In your bibliography, you must include complete references following the APA 6th or 7th edition format. You must also include citations and references within the paper body. The sources must be from a peer source.
There is software available that can help you out. Zotero (Links to an external site.) is a free software program for Windows, Mac and Linux that will create a database of articles for you. It has a plugin available for your Web browser that will automatically add the link and all relevant information to the database for building your bibliography. It also has a plugin for MS Word, LibreOffice, and Google Docs that will create your bibliography automatically, as well as track and insert your references and keep them in APA format for you. It is highly recommended for this assignment and for all of your future research papers.
Guidelines
In your introduction, there should be a general discussion of your area of interest. Any new vocabulary or concepts that support the topic should be introduced. You must also prepare a conclusion or summary in which you reiterate key aspects or points in your paper and tie it all together.
Diagrams or pictures, when appropriate, may be included to support the material being presented. You must cite where you obtained the diagram or picture.
Papers should be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. Poor grammar and typos affect the overall quality of your paper as well as your grade. USA has resources that can provide writing assistance, such as the ThinkingStorm Online Tutoring tool (Links to an external site.).
While it is likely and acceptable that you may gather some of your information from the Internet, be sure that the sources you are referencing are peer reviewed (Links to an external site.). Wikipedia can be used as a resource to gather other information, but should not be a primary source since it is not considered to be peer reviewed. Avoid excessive use of newspaper, magazine, and blog articles because they may be biased.
Use peer-reviewed, scholarly articles. These can be obtained from Google Scholar (Links to an external site.) or the USA Marx LibraryLinks to an external site..
This paper is a research paper, not an opinion piece. Write about your ideas, and use your resources and references to back up your ideas. Do not just write your opinions on the topic.
