As you present a plan to the board, be sure to review the current structure and identify the related problems.
In formulating a plan, respond to the following:
Describe the elements of this structure that are found evident in higher educational surroundings, based on Bolman and Deals (2013) description of a classic bureaucracy.
Indicate how the higher education organization has modified the hierarchy to fit its particular needs.
Describe the resulting structures level of effectiveness or ineffectiveness. Then determine if there are any evident disconnections as the structure strives to accomplish its mission.
Identify the advantages/disadvantages of a bureaucratic organization. Then describe the changes that the organization should make to improve the organization.
Given all of the changes, determine if the organization works.
Incorporate speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes are where you will provide the depth of the narrative and support of ideas, assertions, and claims.
