Reconstruction through the Progressive Era. Describe and consider the consequences of: (a)
internal migration within the country (think especially about movement from rural areas to
cities); (b) immigration to the United States from elsewhere (where did immigrants during this
period originate and what was their experience in the United States like); and (c) the specific
issues confronting African Americans, Native Americans, and women and the strategies each
group took to address those issues.
