The position statement will reveal your comprehension of the content in the module. Your position statement is not merely a summary of a single reading or viewing, but rather an application, analysis, synthesis, or evaluation of the resources explored in the module. Please refer to the course syllabus for an example of a position statement. (Module Objectives 2.1 and 2.2; Student Learning Outcome Standard 1)
Choose a concept presented in the module and demonstrate your understanding by writing 4-5 sentences applying, analyzing, synthesizing, or evaluating the concept. If your post is shorter or longer than 4-5 sentences, you will not earn full credit. Choose different levels of thinking for each module.
Applying: Apply theory to your effective practices in the classroom
Analyzing: Pick apart or examine; question a concept
Synthesizing: Combining the content from the multiple resources presented in the module or information you have learned in other courses
Evaluating: Assess the content of the reading/viewing
You must cite a theorist presented in the reading/viewing. Use correct APA when citing the resource in your post and provide the correct APA citation at the end of the post. Professional writing is required. Use spellcheck before submitting your post. Professionalism is sometimes just a click away!
