Week three takes us into the middle of World War II and the use of the Atomic Bomb. From your readings and discussions of week two, you know what happened to the Japanese American’s during this war. Now, we will dive deeper into the war and how it ended and the use of chemical warfare for the first time ever. Please read through the ENTIRE PowerPoint presentation I uploaded, it is long! BUT very thorough. The PPT takes you into WWII before the U.S. entered, after we entered, and everything in between! It also covers the use of the Atomic Bomb. The PPT goes into who, how, and why the Atom bomb was made. Please note you will not need any outside material to complete this project.

The setting: It is late July 1945. Nazi Germany has surrendered and Japan’s island empire in the Pacific has been smashed. A few days ago, scientists in New Mexico successfully tested a powerful new weapon- an atomic bomb- to further strengthen our country’s arsenal.
You will review the THREE OPTIONS and choose ONE of the options.
