Research participants responded to a
Facebook post asking specific insecure attachments questions:
1. I am always yearning
for something or someone that I feel I cannot have and rarely feeling
satisfied.
4. I usually prefer
relationships with things or animals instead of people.
5. When I reach a certain
level of intimacy with my partner, I sometimes experience inexplicable fear.
6. My partner often
comments or complains that I am controlling.
· 20 individuals participated in the study for 20
consecutive sessions. 10 Received Cognitive Family Behavioral Therapy (CBFT),
and 10 received multiple forms of counseling, other than Cognitive Family
Behavioral Therapy.
· Pretest and Posttest were
conducted.

RESEARCH
QUESTION: The
purpose of this study was to examine the degree of change “to” Secure
Attachment, with individuals dealing with insecure Attachment Styles (Anxious
pre-occupied/Ambivalent, and Avoidant/Dismissive/ Disorganized/Fearful Avoidant)
after using Cognitive Family Behavioral Therapy. This research sought to ask: To
what degree can Cognitive Family Behavioral Therapy CBFT change
insecure Attachment scores to secure, versus using no therapy at all.

*****I
need this paper to show how being unaware of their attachment styles, couples
respond in very negative ways and destroy their relationships because they are
behaving based on the activation of their attachment style. For instance, for a
person whose attachment style is avoidant, when their fight/flight is
activated, their attachment styles are also activated, and they tend to want to
be alone and avoid the person that made them feel rejected or abandoned. *****
