Affidavit of Qualifications

For your final project, you will be completing a full affidavit outlining every component that you have been working on throughout this semester. In order to gain some practice with writing an affidavit, you will be creating a short paper following the format shown in the Sample Psych Affidavit PDF. Also, you may want to refer to this resource for guidance: How to Write an Affadavit.

In the short paper, you will outline your qualifications as an expert in a format that is acceptable to the court. Be sure to incorporate feedback you received from the Module Five short paper, where you outlined your qualifications for employment in forensic psychology.

Note: While this assignment is due at the end of this module, it is in your best interest to submit it as early as possible in the module week—by Wednesday, if possible—so that your instructor can provide with feedback in time to work on completing your final project next module.

For additional details, please refer to the Module Eight Short Paper Guidelines and Rubric PDF document.

Research paper on Okies in the United States

What does it mean to be an “American”? The very question is one that we often seem to consider only superficially, presuming that we can rightly identify in ourselves and others those characteristics and qualities that befit that label. Yet, it is tough to define those elements and coherently explain what citizenship in America means – its attendant opportunities, challenges, responsibilities, and the changing meanings of those terms. This seminar will help us better understand these issues by delving into the complex history of citizenship – debates about who could achieve it, what it meant regarding individual rights, its impact on identity, and the state’s role in conferring citizenship and protecting its citizens.

For my topic, please research and investigate the impediments to full citizenship and how Okies were not seen as American citizens but as burdens. I also want to show how Okies would eventually redefine their social and economic roles to achieve full citizenship in California following WWII. Eventually, Okies became the face of a labor and production shortage. Migrants evolved from a burden to a boon for the California economy.

Need 20 sources total with both a mix of primary and secondary sources.
Give some background and context for the period. Speak to the relevant historiography by briefly exploring what others have said and how your question/focus fits what has been done before. Really focus on connections between your topic and the course theme of citizenship in American history.

I will attach my paper proposal to the files with some sources.

Warner Bros and GM Memo

Answering the following questions based on the attached documents:
1. What disruptive factors drove Warner Bros. decision? What innovation strategy category is it using to adapt?
2. What are the pros & cons of this strategy? Do you agree with Christopher Nolan that it “makes no economic sense”?
3. How are competitors reacting? Theater owners? Actors? (Refer to Scarlett Johansson story as well for this question)
4. GM appears to have established at least a temporary competitive advantage in the China EV market. How did they
do it? What innovation strategy category is it using? Is the competitive advantage durable (why or why not)?

World civilization: Prompt: What relationships can you see between the political dimensions of second-wave (600 BCE-600 CE) or third-wave (600 -1450) civilizations and their cultural or religious aspects?

This paper counts for 15 points, 15 percent of your final grade. It should be about three pages long, double-spaced, with a standard-size font (12-point, Times New Roman) and with one-inch margins on all sides. No cover page is necessary. Your source is the textbook, especially the documents at the end of each chapter. You cannot rely on online sources.

Prompt: What relationships can you see between the political dimensions of second-wave (600 BCE-600 CE) or third-wave (600 -1450) civilizations and their cultural or religious aspects?
A clue: You should use specific historical cases we have covered in this course to illustrate your point. These cases include Athens under Pericles, the Greek Empire under Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, China, and India. Do not dwell on generalities! You also have to address counterexamples that do not support your point. Note that you should write an analytical paper, not a descriptive one. You should organize information logically around a contested claim. For more detailed requirements and grading criteria, please refer to the Grading Rubric in the syllabus.
A reminder: Things are often complex and cannot be understood in simple black-and-white terms. You should try to give a historically informed, ideologically unbiased, and logically coherent answer. The historical context cannot be overemphasized. It is easy to dwell on generalities out of context. It is also easy to see things from one’s own ideological perspective and rush to condemn alternative ones without trying to understand them. You can always disagree but should show respect. It is more important to help contribute to a greater understanding of the question at issue. Finally, it is easier to speak coherently, but a lot more difficult to write coherently. Make sure that you move logically from sentence to sentence and consistently from paragraph to paragraph. Do not deviate from your focus. Whatever you write should be directly relevant to the prompt. There is no need for long background introduction.
