Paris

1. Paris Opera Walk Around and Through
If you have not already done so, please watch the video at the bottom on the subject of looking inside of buildings using Google Earth.
Using the technique outlined in the video, find 5 distinct spaces or rooms in the Paris opera house. These spaces should pertain to the subject of this module. Do not select simple, utilitarian modern spaces. You must find spaces that relate to the Ecole Des Beaux Arts movement.
Using a screen capture tool, collect and post one image from each space. Please note that the images need to be inserted into the discussion post. Do not upload or attach them separately. Label each of the 5 images with a title that you feel describes the space in the image.
Select one image and write a one page paragraph describing how elements in the space are of the Ecole des Beaux Artes movement. Identify classical elements such as columns, capitols, entablatures, ornamentation and other design elements and include them in your post. Explain what you think about the space and the things in it that you have identified.

Using a screen capture tool, collect and post one image from each location. Please note that the images need to be inserted into the discussion post. Do not upload or attach them separately. Label each of the 5 images with a title that you feel describes the space in the image.

Intimate Partner Violence and over-criminalization of Indigenous Woman in Canada – ACTION PROJECT & REFLECTION PAPER

Write an informed letter to corporate, institutional or elected officials, outlining your
views on a social issue and calling for specific action.
– The topic of the letter will be around gendered violence (Intimate Partner Violence) and over criminalization of Indigenous woman in
Canada. Talk about intergenerational trauma, privilleges, and how colonialism plays a role.
(Look at syllabus attached for more details about the course and readings that were studied. PDF attached.)
– Provide a reflection (letter, in this case) about what you did by addressing the: what/so what/now what. (explained in details below)
– Who is the best recipient for your letter?
– Who is in the position to make change? Who has the greatest impact on the issue?

Follow these steps/tips on how to write letter to authority:
– https://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Letter-to-Authority;

Questions to answer/consider when writing this paper:
1. What is the issue?
– Briefly explain the issue. Introduce the problem/question/issue to be analyzed in the paper.
(but paper should not analysis in and of itsef.)
2. So What?
– Provide your critical analysis of the issue (think restaurant critic’s review, not the menu).
– Why does this issue matter (to you)? Who does it affect? How does power/privilege/intersectionality operate?
– What structures and symbols are important to examine?
– Apply course concepts/material as part of your analysis.Apply course concepts/material as part of your analysis.Apply course concepts/material as part of your analysis.
3. Now What?
– What action(s) did you take?
– What impact do you think your action had?
– What are your next steps to fix this issue?

Conclusion:
– What key lessons have you learned about making change?
– Be sure to make connections between your action and the ideas raised in the readings and course discussions (include full citations).

Essay Format:
– Standard essay format (Times new roman, 12 point font, double spaced, 8 – 10 pages not included title or work cited)
– This is a LETTER to an authority covering an issue. (Be creative and follow the above links on how to write a letter to authority)
– Must include MLA citations of other people’s words and/or ideas and correctly formatted as ‘works cited’
– Write using your own voice (first person)
– Use other people’s ideas and words to support your argument, rather than make it for you
– The number of references/sources totally depends on what you need to make a strong, convincing argument. (No limit on cites used)

Evaluation:
– Work will not be evaluated on how successful they were in making change (i.e. did it work), but rather on their thoughtful planning, implementation and reflection about their chosen action. In other words, the focus is on process and reflection, rather than outcome.

Time Period

Which time period would you visit in history? What would you be interested in finding out and experiencing in this time period?

POST MUST BE 300 WORDS

Discussion Thread: Relationship Marketing and ‘Every Good Endeavor’

As part of your Doctoral journey, you are reading Timothy Keller’s book ‘Every Good Endeavor.’

On page 41 of the hardcover version of this book, he included, “Did God create food only to provide for necessity (nutrition) and not also for delight and good cheer? So to the purpose of clothing apart from necessity (protection) was comeliness and decency. In grasses, trees, and fruits, apart from their various uses, there is the beauty of appearance and pleasantness of fragrance…Did he not, in short, render many things attractive to us, apart from their necessary use?”

Additionally, you will explore the concept of Relationship Marketing and, in particular, you will focus on Differentiating Customers by Their Needs. Please answer these questions and use scholarly support for your answers:
1. Why has more progress been made on customer value differentiation than on customer needs differentiation?
2. Is it possible to meet individual needs? Is it feasible? Can you describe three examples where it has been profitable?
3. For each of the following product categories, name a branded example, then hypothesize about how you might categorize customers by their different needs.
o Automotive
o Airlines
o Personal Care (cosmetics, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.)
o Hotels

• Connect the chapter from ‘Every Good Endeavor’ called ‘The Design of Work’ to ONE of the examples you provided. For example, a Louis Vuitton handbag holds important items for their consumers from their money and credit cards and many other daily essentials. But a handbag from Walmart works just as effectively. Why is there such a following for Louis Vuitton then? You choose YOUR example. Connect Timothy Keller’s excerpt from page 41.
