Why would it be important to make the changes you are suggesting?

Pick a Wikipedia article of a topic that you know a lot about. Read over the article carefully.

In your discussion post, link to the wikipedia article. Indicate for your classmates what revisions you would suggest for the article. Remember a wikipedia article, should not have a political or social bias and should have correct information. Why would it be important to make the changes you are suggesting?

Reflect on why it is important to revise a document and not just submit what you initially wrote.

In what ways does the theme relate to your understanding of the rise of the Internet, Personal Computer, Software, and/or World Wide Web?

This short writing assignment provides an opportunity to pause and reflect on significant events that gave further rise to digital technology and helped shape our digital culture.
Rather than writing a reflection on the material, this assignment forces you to make unique connections by exploring themes within two Hollywood blockbuster movies produced during the rise of personal computing and the world wide web. Remember, these two events were particularly prominent in making digital technology available to the masses.
The movie Tron (1982) was produced soon after the personal computer release, while The Matrix (1999) came out during the World Wide Web’s rise. As you watch these two films, reflect on the themes related to what we have covered in the course. If you drift away from these themes, you will miss an opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of the material.
Introductions:
Choose at least one theme from one or both films, and then answer the question below.
In what ways does the theme relate to your understanding of the rise of the Internet, Personal Computer, Software, and/or World Wide Web?
Write your response in the form of a blog post that contains a word count of between 500-750 words.
Try and avoid reciting the storylines in your article and stay away from a film review. Articles to connect the movie themes two are linked in the document attached.

Explore how diet might affect the progression, development, management of this condition/disease.

Subject: Nutrition in Health and Disease

I will please need a an initial post of 200 words and two replies of 75 words.

Initial Post Subject:
Research and choose 1 medical condition that would require a patient to receive basic nutrition education. Explore how diet might affect the progression, development, management of this condition/disease.

First Response:

The medical condition I have chosen is- Heart disease. Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. An unhealthy diet of fried foods, bacon, red meats, are foods that are high in cholesterol and can affect your heart’s health by raising your blood pressure and can lead to weight gain, excess weight is also bad for the heart and contributes to heart disease in a negative way.
upon the development of heart disease, there is no cure, but there are healthy foods that can prevent the condition from becoming worse, maintaining a controlled and healthy diet is a great way to help keep your heart going after diagnosis.
Some of the best ways to manage and prevent heart disease are by having a healthy diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, and increasing your intake of whole grains. Monitoring your intake of proteins will also help to keep heart disease under control. The best vitamins for your heart are Vitamin D and Omega-3, so by consuming oatmeal, fish, nuts, and soybean oils, your heart will get these essential heart-healthy vitamins. Exercising regularly and keeping a healthy diet help significantly.

Second Response:

I hope you are all having a great week. The medical condition I chose to write about is Diabetes Type II. This is usually an acquired disease that results from the ingestion of too much sugar. People who have acquired Diabetes type II usually are linked with obesity which can be an underlying disease for CVD (cardiovascular disease). Diabetes can also cause complications like nerve damage which can lead to amputation, kidney disease and dementia. A controlled diet can easily prevent the onset of Diabetes type II. Foods to avoid would be trans fats, sodas and other sweetened beverages, dried fruit, honey and sweetened breakfast cereals. A person wanting to prevent or control their diabetes should eat a wide range of foods, including fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and dairy.

What criminal code was violated in the case?

The term paper is an opportunity for the student to study a particular criminal case and to explore the sociological concepts you have learned in this class and to apply them to a real-life situation.
Your case study is to be of a major criminal case that occurred in the United States sometime in history. Some examples would be the O.J. Simpson case, the Timothy McVeigh case, the Great American Tragedy, etc.
Information about the case can be obtained from the Internet, newspaper and magazine articles, and personal observations and opinions. Major emphasis on marking the paper will be on the formation of a valid opinion. I am most concerned in your opinion about the case, not on the content of your research. Your research will be of value in backing up your opinion, regardless of what that opinion may be.
Part 1 of your paper should include a sociological description of the crime and include:
The act or event.
What criminal code was violated in the case?
Who were the offenders, who were the victims?
Social reactions to the event
How was the behavior rationalized by the defendant?
This part of the paper will require research as outlined above. I fully expect all of your research to be documented and properly cited in the text and the bibliography according to APA standards.
Part 2 of your paper should include the theories you have learned in class, your readings in and out of class, and how you have applied those theories to your particular case. Based on what you have learned in this and other classes, I am interested in your opinion of what caused this particular crime, how the case was handled in the media, and how the outcome of the case came about.
Was the defendant found guilty or innocent? What was the social status of the victim and defendant, and did that play a role in the guilt or innocence of the defendant?
The case that I have chosen is the Aaron Henandez case.
