Write a paper that makes a clear, well-supported, and entertaining claim about a specific dish you have recently consumed. This must be a specific food item (e.g., macaroni and cheese) as executed by a specific restaurant or cook (e.g. my brother’s mac and cheese, the mac and cheese at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in downtown Long Beach).

In this essay, you should first write an introduction in which you introduce the food item, discuss its cultural importance (who eats it? How popular is it? What is its nutritional value? What is its emotional or experiential value?), and identify the specific source of the item (if you are writing about a particular mac and cheese, burrito, or other, such as your brother’s mac and cheese or Maya’s Boyle Heights Burrito) and make your claim about the item (thesis). (Note that you can have any verdict on the item; for example, I could argue that LeRoy’s Chicken and Waffles are better than Roscoe’s, even though Roscoe’s is more iconic as an institution.)
Next, compose at least three body paragraphs in which you elaborate on the qualities above, offering your analysis of the food item’s effectiveness and evaluating its success or appeal while supporting your thesis with specific details and examples. This is where you will have to clearly establish your criteria and evaluate how the item fulfills them (or doesn’t)!
Finally, conclude by further elaborating your thesis and explaining why your evaluation of this food item should be necessary reading for all consumers.
Here are some questions for prewriting (you do not need to directly answer them in order in the paper):
Who is the intended user or audience of the food you are reviewing? Do the producers of this food make the right kinds of decisions about how to appeal to that audience?
Even if you decide you don’t like the food you’re reviewing, can you see how it might work for other people?
How does this dish stack up against similar foods? Does it represent an advance or innovation for the category or genre that it belongs to?
What kinds of criteria are you using to make your evaluation? Are these criteria shared by people in your intended audience? If not, can you persuade your audience that your criteria are preferable?
What kind of background does your audience need to know about to understand your evaluation?

Discuss at least THREE (3) of the first six (6) challenges and how you believe this industry will be impacted over the next decade.

Chapter 1 (1.6) highlights seven challenges facing any manager. Managers need to manage for competitive advantage—to stay ahead of rivals. Managers must deal with information technology and address the “new normal” of data. Write a research essay about the mental effects on a womans heath.

Every topic I seem to try to write on, my professer says its to broad. I attached the requirements. I did start on a research essay about the mental effects on a womans heath. She said that was narrow enough. My topics were, depression, anxiety, and mental focus. So I’d like my essay to stay with that, but if it doesnt than thats fine. As long as it meets all the requierments.

Does risk-based compensation limit the freedom of primary care physicians in any way in terms of patient care?

Risk-Based Reimbursement
RISK BASED REIMBURSEMENT
A primary care physician is often reimbursed by Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) via capitation,
fee-for-service, relative value scale, or salary.
Capitation is considered as a risk based compensation.
In an effort to understand the intricacies involved with physician reimbursement, particularly in an era of health care reform, identify and interview an expert in the field, such as:
Hospital Administrator
Managed Care Organization (MCO) executive
Health care Consultant
Legal Professional
Assumption: MCOs use risk-based reimbursement for primary care physicians.
Ask the following questions in the interview:
What kind of risk do the MCOs assess?
Does risk-based compensation limit the freedom of primary care physicians in any way in terms of patient care? Why or why not?
How does the capitation model of reimbursement work? Do physicians generally prefer one model over the other? Why or why not?
Why do HMOs prefer the prepaid, monthly premium?
Is pay-for-performance a better model than existing models of compensation? Are there limitations to it as well?
Feel free to add additional follow-up questions for depth and clarification as you see fit.

Discuss the slavery from after the War of 1812 to the Civil War.

You need a thesis statement and you must have specific historical evidence to support that thesis. You cannot simply say: “Ideas about race developed in the Americas during the colonial period.” You will need evidence to prove that. Don’t just give a list of people or events. You must explain who or what they were and how they are connected.

Make sure you connect it to millennialism – in fact, this would be a good thing to include in a thesis statement.
How did religious revivalism shape society?
You don’t need to cover every one of the groups discussed in the textbook, but you should have representatives from new religious groups like the Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Shakers – don’t just list them, tell me who was involved, what were they doing, how did people react to them etc.
utopian societies, Shakers, Onieda
Brooks Farm, Owenites

You should mention some key battles that were turning points, like Ft. Sumpter, Shiloh, Antietam, Gettysburg, Vicksburg, the fall of Atlanta, Appomattox (you don’t need to go into great detail about the actual fighting)
