What is this composer’s general biographical information?

In your best scholarly prose, you will write about a composer from the middle ages, Leonin.
You should do some research in several sources and write about the composer’s life and compositional output.
Your paper should answer (but not be limited to) the following questions. Points will be deducted if the answers to these questions do not appear in your paper. Sources should be clearly cited to show (specifically) where you did your research and got your information. Only one source can be an online based source such as Wikipedia. If you choose to use an online source such as Wikipedia, it should not be your primary source of research. Published journals and articles that are available in online databases are not considered to be online resources.

a. What is this composer’s general biographical information? (While this is important and can sometimes be interesting, this answer should not be the majority of your paper. The composer’s biography should only be one paragraph in length.)
b. What was/is the composer’s compositional style?
c. What was/ is the composer’s compositional output? You do not need to list all of their pieces, just provide general information. For example, if one were writing about Giacomo Puccini, they would say that he primarily composed in the genre of opera and some art songs.
d. Why is this composer’s music interesting to you? Be specific.
e. What piece/pieces caused you to choose to write about this composer? And why? It will be necessary to listen to several of the composer’s pieces to answer this question.
f. Why is this composer important in the history of music?
g. How does this composer’s music compare or contrast to the other music studied so far in this course?
h. What are any other important facts about this composer’s life or place in music history?

All
information should be cited clearly using a standard citation system such as
Turabian or MLA.

This paper should be no less than 4 pages in length,
typed, double spaced with 1-inch margins.

What are the top four factors of demand that effect demand for real estate?

Overview
Before the COVID 19 virus went worldwide, Price Waterhouse and Cooper in their recent white paper titled Real Estate 2020 Building the Future have stated that the philosophy of ‘build it and they will come’ will not prove to be universally successful. Some cities will grow, become creative hubs and generators of economic growth. Other cities will not be as fortunate. Around the world the density of main cities will drive people away, to rural environments or satellite cities. The same results can be found within our country. The question at the heart of this Discussion, is Real Estate a mature market?
The student will post one thread of at least 1,000 words . For each thread, students must support their assertions with at least 4 scholarly citations in the current APA format.
Discussion has four Research Questions (RQs). For each RQ you must provide these three separate components: theory>research>analysis.
The thread must be at least 1,000 words and each RQ must be supported by at least one scholarly citation in the current APA format.
RQ1 What circumstances/realities associated with real estate make it an “imperfect” market?
RQ2 What are the top four factors of demand that effect demand for real estate?
RQ3 What is a product life cycle and how is it related to the real estate market?
RQ4 Is real estate a mature market?

Explain how you would list the Millennium Development Goals?

Review the eight goals Millennium Development Goals and suggest some improvements to the goals. As of this year, how would you list the Millennium Development Goals? Would the list from 1 to 8 stay the same, be switched around, or would some of the goals change completely? Be sure to include your rationale.
Read the discussion guidelines below carefully and follow them.
Discussion Guidelines
Share your thoughts and ideas on this week’s discussion forum prompts in four distinct paragraphs – first paragraph (define the Millennium Development Goals and the aims behind these goals); second paragraph (choose one of the goals which you feel should be retained, and justify why it should be retained); third paragraph (choose one of the goals which you feel should be modified or changed completely, and justify why it ought to be changed); fourth paragraph (conclusion and discuss the relevance of the Millennium Development Goals today).
Use of well-analysed empirical examples are highly encouraged. In other words, provide some context to explain your choices and your prioritisation of these different goals: how does the context you are in affect your choice?

Did the Soviets blundered into Afghanistan, and did the American intervention exacerbated the conflict by feeding the Islamic militancy?

How did the Soviet Union and later the United State become
entangled in Afghanistan, and how their mutual rivalry has impacted the Afghan society
by wars stretching over 40 years.

Did the Soviets blundered into Afghanistan, and did the American intervention
exacerbated the conflict by feeding the Islamic militancy? And how did the rise of
Islamic militancy contribute to the rise of bin Laden who masterminded the 9/11? You
must support your answer with relevant arguments, historical reasoning, and evidence.

As a marketing manager, how does a focus on sustainability inform your tasks and activities?
Pick a company or brand you are familiar with and share an example of how the company has incorporated sustainable practices. Why is it important to take a sustainable approach?
What partnerships and collaborations might a company enter into in order to maintain effective sustainability practices?
How might sustainability contribute to customer satisfaction?

What medical treatments have been used against chemical agents, and how effective are they?

In our post-modern age, when people often confuse science with technology, we often forget that at its ancient origins, science was closely allied with philosophy–was even called “natural philosophy.” It is important to remember these origins to understand that science is the search for truth–not the quest for a better mousetrap (or mousepad). As scientific endeavors become more arcane and their results more obscure, it remains important for the non-specialist to keep abreast of developments in those complex fields. Remember that scientists get much of their finding from the government, and we should know what we are paying for. Moreover, scientific research often impinges on questions of ethics and even morality, and we must be educated enough to make informed decisions about these projects.
As scientific fields become more specialized, the popular-science interface becomes even more important. Not even those with doctorates in physics can be experts in astrophysics, biological physics, low-energy atomic-collision physics, relativistic heavy ion physics, particle physics, laser physics, and condensed matter physics. How could it then be possible for a biologist or a literature major–or a plumber–to understand the intricacies of those fields? Clearly, we need popular science writers–those who understand the complexities of scientific disciplines and can simplify them for the general reader while still conveying the important content.
The theme of study in this course—coupled with the fact that we live in a world in which terrorists and enemy governments have easy access to chemical and biological weapons—makes it even more apparent that we as informed citizens need access to scientific information we can understand and evaluate.
Producing popular science requires an understanding of the scientific field and the ability to write clear, readable prose that is accessible to the members of the educated general public. This assignment is designed to provide an introduction to popular science writing. The guidelines for the assignment are listed below:
Research question
As you learned in English 111—and as we reviewed in our first assignment of the semester–every research project begins with a research question and a tentative thesis. For this assignment, your question will, of course, be about chemical weapons, and it must be in the natural sciences (that is, you are not asking about the history of chemical warfare, the cultural or psychological effects of these weapons, nor political questions about their use). Here are a few to get you started:
How did the chemical weapons used during World War I (chlorine gas, phosgene gas, mustard gas) act on their victims?
How do modern chemical weapons (sarin, ricin) act on their victims?
What medical treatments have been used against chemical agents, and how effective are they?
How did cancer chemotherapy evolve from chemical weapons?
How did Agent Orange affect the American veterans of the Vietnam War?
What are the environmental effects of chemical weap[ons disposal?
NOTE: Every one of these questions has a serious flaw: It is too broad! You must narrow the question so it can be answered thoroughly in a three-page paper. Here are a couple of examples:
Too broad: How did the chemical weapons used during World War I (chlorine gas, phosgene gas, mustard gas) act on their victims?
Better, narrower version: What are the effects of mustard gas on the respiratpory system?
Too broad: What medical treatments have been used against chemical agents, and mhow effective are they?
Better, narrower version: What treatments are available for exposure to mustard gas, and how efffective are they?
Preliminary research
Locate scholarly articles that help you narrow and answer your research question. I have listed below a few articles you might wish to consider as you begin your research. You will also need to locate some of your own. Make sure you use the FTCC library and/or Google Scholar to find full-text peer-reviewed articles in the natural sciences. Read the abstracts and/or skim through several articles to select at least three articles that you will use in your paper.
Note: These articles are very specific to specific questions. Do not attempt to use them for unrelated topics!

Tentative thesis
Write a tentative thesis—a strong, clear, specific focused answer to your research question. It is always important to begin with a tentative thesis so to guide your research, note-taking, and synthesizing of the material.
Research and note-taking
Take careful notes on your three sources, making sure the information you are collecting helps you answer the question you have asked. Although most notes should be taken in your own words, remember to use quotation marks when you copy material directly from a source. Note: CSE style discourages the use of direct quotes. Likewise, since the aim of popular science writing is general accessibility, direct quotes are also discouraged from that vantage point. Always note the page number where you found your information whether you have noted it in your own words or in a direct quote.
Outline
Prepare a thorough outline of your argument. Begin with the thesis, and include at least three main paragraphs (capital Roman numerals) with one main point (a complete topic sentence) and evidence (phrases only).
Rough draft
As you did in English 111, you should prepare a rough draft after your outline is approved. Make sure you include a references page and in-text citations (in CSE style, these are superscript numbers listed in numerical order as you cite each source in turn).
Final draft
Revise, edit, and proofread your rough draft in preparation of the final paper you sill submit for a grade. Follow the formatting guidelines provided. CSEFormat.docx

Use Microsoft Word, Times New Roman 12-point font, and title your document as follows: JonesPaper2.
Some important pointers regarding access to your sources

Discuss how expert systems, neural networks, and genetic algorithms can help scientists meet medical challenges.

One area where human intelligence is limited is in the area of medicine. It often takes a
doctor to determine a medical condition, and doctors cannot be everywhere. However, if the knowledge and processes that doctors use can be transmitted to machines, the knowledge and diagnosis of the medical field can be greatly expanded.
Discuss how expert systems, neural networks, and genetic algorithms can help scientists
meet medical challenges. Provide an example of each system. Select one of your three examples and describe the system more in-depth. Give an example of a system currently being used and describe how and where it is in use today.

Describe the risks inherent with online websites and/or social media.

Describe the risks inherent with online websites and/or social media. Identify opportunities for effective use of online health information websites and/or social media.Your presentation should include the following:
1. One social media in health care or public online health information site.
2. An overview of the use.
3. Their benefits and risks of use.
4. Your recommendations for nursing regarding appropriate use.
Submission Instructions:
Presentation is original work and logically organized in current APA style including citation of references.
Incorporate a minimum of 3 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions) within your work.
PowerPoint presentation with 7-8 slides, excluding the tile slide and the reference slide.
The presentation is clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation and misspelling.

What is the designer’s goal in creating the ad, and what other information does the designer include that suggests their purpose?

DIRECTIONS
In this assignment, you create a Rhetorical Analysis of a single image from an advertisement. Specifically, you will answer several questions and post your answers in the Module Three Discussion Forum. In the same Discussion Forum, you will also respond to another student’s post. It is time now to apply what you are learning about writing and research from our text.

Locate a single image that advertises a product, service, or brand that was published within the last 12 months and that can be found online. To understand what is meant by a single image that advertises a product, service, or brand, review this blog post to learn more. And review this post on BoredPanda as well. Do not choose an ad from these two sources, so look for an ad that does not appear on these two blogs. A single image means one static image, not a video, not a gif, not anything other than an image. Then start reviewing websites, blogs, social media, anywhere online, to find an ad with artful, provocative content that will allow you to answer several questions.

Answer the following questions:

1. Consider the rhetorical situation, in particular the purpose and the audience of the ad you are analyzing. What is outstanding (good, bad, outrageous, noteworthy, unusual) about the ad? Paste the link to the image at the beginning of your paragraph. You can first save the image and then upload it to Imgur so that you have a permanent link to the image.
Write one paragraph.

2. Who would be the typical viewer or customer for this ad, and does the viewer need any special knowledge, vocabulary, or background to understand the ad?
Answer in 5 sentences

3. What is the designer’s goal in creating the ad, and what other information does the designer include that suggests their purpose? Go beyond simple statements such as “The ad wants you to buy the product” and look at the deeper reasons why this ad might affect someone’s ideas about the product advertised.
Answer in 5 sentences

4. How does the style and design of the ad reflect both the subject matter and the reasons someone would want to buy the product advertised?
Answer in 5 sentences

5. Craft an analytical thesis that identifies the pattern you observe or a decision you have made about the ad. Refer to Chapter 4-5a at the end of Chapter 4 to learn more about an analytical thesis.
Answer in 2 sentences
