What do the authors seem to suggest, based on these examples, about how we adhere to or argue for change in traditions?

Ramabai “childhood” and “married life” chapters 2-3
The Garden of Forking paths Jorge Luis Borges
Hedda Gabler-Henry Ibsen

In the readings from the middle three weeks of this course, we often see authors or characters contemplating tradition. They may be reflecting on traditional ethnic or religious cultures, family traditions, or traditional behavior or attitudes. In your exam, use at least three specific examples from assigned texts to show how we see characters reflecting on tradition or arguing for or against particular traditional behaviors or customs (and your three examples cannot use the same author twice—for example, you cannot use both chapters by Ramabai or more than one story by Tagore and count them as two of the three examples). What traditions are represented in these texts? What do the authors seem to suggest, based on these examples, about how we adhere to or argue for change in traditions? Can any of the reflection on these past traditions still apply to the way we view traditions today? This exam should be entirely your own argument, and you are not allowed to use any secondary material in this exam

What general conclusions can we/you draw regarding the historical veracity of Marco Polo’s account?

This assignment asks you to place the content of the famous travelogue you have been reading in this class (The Travels of Marco Polo) in its relevant historical context. The legendary 13th-century Venetian traveler Marco Polo undertook a long and arduous journey from his home base in Italy to the realm of the Great Khan of the Mongols. The Great Khan ruled at the time over the vast empire that stretched from Central Asia into China.
When reading the travelogue compare Marco Polo’s reflections on the events of the day (HIS day) and his descriptions of the customs and traditions of the peoples he encountered with what you have learned in this course about the time period and those particular geographic locations that he visits during his travels. How accurate, how reliable do you find Marco Polo’s accounts? Do you think his reports can/should be used as a historical source? On what do you base your opinion? Provide specific examples from the text to support your argument. Juxtapose these examples with “hard historical facts” as found in your textbook or in the primary sources collection. What general conclusions can we/you draw regarding the historical veracity of Marco Polo’s account?
Suggested sources: 1. The Travels of Marco Polo; 2. Textbook; 3. Relevant primary sources

Final Project Rubric
Guidelines for Submission: Your business implementation plan should be approximately 25 pages long (not including appendices, references, etc.), using 12-
point Times New Roman font, with one-inch margins. You should use appropriate section headers to divide the text and cite references using the most recent

for illustrating how your capstone embodies the outcome. All outcomes are weighted equally.MBA-705-01: Analyze primary and secondary data using quantitative and
