Information about, and portrayals of, mental health and mental disorders can be found in all forms of media (e.g. TV, Radio, Movies, Podcasts, Social Media, Newspapers etc.), and the way that they are discussed, shown, or represented can have important implications for people’s understanding of this topic. Your assignment will allow you to find some of this information, reflect on it, explore the academic literature that is available about mental health in the media, and discuss the impact of media on our understanding of mental health.
There are four parts to this paper:
1. Discuss TWO examples of mental health disorders being discussed or portrayed in the media (any type of media source – e.g., movies, TV shows, news article, podcast, Instagram reel, etc.). Summarize and Reflect on the information (1-1.5 pages)
Summarize the information.
For TV shows, movies, etc.: Briefly describe the individual/group/illness how they are portrayed, and any other relevant information.
For a newspaper article or podcast, briefly summarize the source and how the individual/group/illness is being presented.
For a social media post, summarize the content and how the individual/group/illness was being presented and the types of comments that were being made about the post.
For all media sources, be sure to identify the year of publication and the publisher of the content.
Reflect on the information.
Based on the information you have learned in this course, is the representation/portrayal of the mental health disorder accurate? Is it flawed? In what way? What are the possible repercussions of this media (positive, negative, misleading information etc.)? What is missing from the portrayal?
2. Find (THREE) peer-reviewed, academic journal articles that discuss mental health in the media (2.5-3 pages).
Summarize the articles and discuss and similarities/differences in the three articles.
Consider: What was the media source discussed, were there participants? If so, who were they? What were the findings? What is the main conclusion of the article – the take-home message? Remember to bring all three articles together, what were the similarities/differences etc.
3. Based on the academic research that you have read, choose one of the media sources you presented in part one of this assignment and provide the publisher/producer of the media source with feedback/suggestions.
Consider:
Did they do a good job of accurately portraying the mental health disorder? If so, tell them why – using your three articles as references.
What could they do to improve their media in the future? Give them some suggestions using the three articles as references. (you must provide at least one referenced suggestion for improvement)
Let them know the potential implications of their media (using your three articles as references)
4. Write a concluding Paragraph (.5-1 page)
What is the main takeaway from this assignment, given what you learned, what are the broader implications of media representation of mental health, in general? For society? Or understanding ourselves?
Your assignment must include a title page indicating your name, course title: PSYC2030, and the date of submission. The assignment must include at least three academic (peer-reviewed) references, and two media references and should be no less than five and no more than six double-spaced pages in length with 1-inch margins written in 12- point Times New Roman font.
APA style must be used when referencing and a reference list must be included at the end of the assignment (you need to properly reference your academic and media content), but you do not have to adhere to any of the other rules of APA (e.g., running heads, manuscript headers, etc.); although using headings and subheadings can help you structure your assignment.

Evaluate Sampling Versus Nonsampling Risk
Overview:
Audit Sampling
Sampling is essential throughout audits as auditors attempt to gather sufficient appropriate audit evidence in a cost-efficient manner. Sampling means taking a random portion of the information available and reviewing it, instead of all the information. Audit sampling is used for both tests of controls and for tests of details of transactions and balances. In both of these types of sampling, the plans may be either nonstatistical or statistical. Audit sampling selects less than 100 percent of the population of audit relevance, and the evaluation of that sample, such that the auditor expects the items selected (the sample) to be representative of the population, and thus likely to provide a reasonable basis for conclusions about the population. In this context, a representative sample is one that will result in conclusions that, subject to the limitations of sampling risk, are similar to those that would be drawn if the same procedures were applied to the entire population.
The auditor should project the results of the sample to the population. The total projected misstatement, after any adjustments made by the entity, should be compared with the tolerable misstatement and the auditor should consider whether the risk of misstatement in excess of the tolerable amount is at an acceptably low level. In addition, qualitative factors (such as the nature of the misstatements and their relationship to other phases of the audit) should be considered. For example, when fraud has been discovered, a simple projection of them would not generally be sufficient because the auditor would need to obtain a thorough understanding of them and of their likely effects.
Assignment:
As a new accounting assistant with Webster & Co. CPAs, you have been asked to perform research on the nature of sampling risk versus nonsampling risk. You will prepare a research paper that explains sampling risk and nonsampling risk. Make sure to provide examples of both.
— Length: 2-3 pages, not including APA cover and reference pages
— Include at least five scholarly sources.
** Please check grammar, punctuation, and that everything makes sense.
** I have uploaded some articles please incorporate them in the paper.
** Include a good title for this assignment
RESEARCH AND REPORT
Like many topics in special education, LRE must be determined by a team with the guidance provided by IDEA. There is not always a clear cut answer. As such, the field’s knowledge and understanding of LRE continue to develop. One major avenue to clarification is through the court system and legal findings. Decisions by Circuit, Appallett, even the Supreme Court have regularly shifted the special education world. All educators must stay up-to-date on what the courts are saying regarding students’ rights under IDEA.
Based on the information you have learned regarding Least Restrictive Environment, research and identify three court cases that have helped to shape the field’s understanding of LRE (there are far more than three). Each court case analysis should include the following information — identification of the case, background information regarding the parties involved, the findings of the court, and the effect of the field’s understanding of LRE as a result.
Please be mindful of grammar, spelling, and punctuation as you write. Be sure to use your own words to report what you find.
What Does the Bible Say About the Role of Women?
Writing in this semester focuses on Application Papers (personal reflection and application) emphasizing OUTLINE and EVIDENCE with a statement of OPINION. The student’s application and opinion should be supported by facts, observations, and information from the textbooks.
For the Final Application Paper, students will develop a well-informed opinion paper on one major topic of the student’s choosing. A list of potential topics is given below. Students are not limited to these, but any topic chosen must be relevant to the course material and well-supported by sources. Potential topics include:
Is God justified in ordering the genocide of the Canaanites?
How does a biblical perspective on immigration inform your current position?
What does the Bible say about the role of women?
What is a Christ-like response to poverty?
What is a biblical understanding of justice?
What would you consider to be a biblical perspective on the sanctity of life?
How does a Christian approach to racial reconciliation impact your view of ongoing systemic racism?
What do you think the Bible says about heaven and hell?
Do you think a biblical approach would promote the use of war? Why or why not?
What is your understanding of what the Bible says about homosexuality? What is a Christian response to those in the LGBTQ+ community?
Utilizing the course material (assigned reading, lectures, other resources, discussion questions, and learner responses) is required. Utilizing the supplemental reading given in the syllabus and the Weekly Lessons is also key in building a well-developed paper. Well-written papers will have at least 4-5 academically-sound sources (using the Trevecca library will help ensure you are using sound sources). Statements not supported by references will be deducted points.
Nation building is a lot of hard work, including physical labor. Nations – and cities – aren’t built only through proclamations and laws but also depend on farmers, laborers, and local industries.

After considering the section on working class women and girls working in the Lowell mills (additional pages in the textbook on 156–57, 168–172), let’s think about how the life experiences of working class women likely differed from what is idealized for “true women” (discussed at the opening of module).
In other words, apply the example of the Lowell Mill girls to reflect on how economic class impacts the views of and the treatment of women in early U. S. society.
Be sure to include some mention of the the ideals of true womanhood in your response so that you demonstrate that you understand that historical concept
Psychology Observation Paper
There are many individuals who help to shape and influence (either positively or negatively) our personality as we develop into the person we are today. Write about two people who stand out in your mind as individuals who have significantly contributed to your life, to your development. The individuals that you write about must represent different developmental stages in your life (4 stages are listed below). For example, do not just write about two people from your Childhood stage. You could write about one person from your Childhood stage and one from your Adolescent stage. Write your paper about how these individuals had a part in shaping your personality. Include any “turning point” episodes that were especially meaningful. In addition to the 3 pages, type a very brief letter (1 or 2 paragraphs) to one of these individuals and add this letter to the end of your paper. It will be up to you if you want to mail this letter to them or not.
Stages: 1. Infancy through preschool (birth through age 4)
Childhood (5 – 11 years of age)
Adolescence (12 – 20)
Young adulthood (21 – 39)
