Ethical relativism and Christian ethics

compose a 500-600 word argument that is objective, carefully-constructed, and free of emotion (and hence it should not contain any exclamation points) in support of your opinion about ethical relativism and Christian ethics. Formulate your argument by answering BOTH of the following questions:
Is Christian ethics relativistic or absolutist? Explain your answer.
What, if any, are the differences between ethical relativism and the subjective aspects of Christian ethics?
For question 1, answer whether Christian ethics is relativistic or absolutist. First, you should define relativism and absolutism. Don’t simply re-state the reading, but provide an explanation of relativism and absolutism using your own words but also showing that you did the reading and understand the issues. Present the strengths and weaknesses of relativism and how these compare to absolutism. Here you should bring into play the arguments that are discussed in the assigned reading in chapter two of our textbook, Moral Reasoning. You should also incorporate the introduction from our Biblical Ethics textbook. You must read these chapters carefully. Some of the arguments for relativism presented in Moral Reasoning are eventually rejected as fallacious later in the chapter. The more cogent arguments are not presented until the second half of the chapter, where the author sides with the overwhelming majority of ethicists in concluding that ethical relativism is false. You may also read ahead to chapters 8 and 9 in Moral Reasoning, where the author presents a Christian ethic, and you may also consult outside sources. Whichever side you take on the issue, please treat both sides with respect.
For question 2, explain the differences between ethical relativism and the subjective elements in Christian ethics. In addition to the textbooks and academic sources, you are encouraged to incorporate important biblical passages such as Romans 14-15.

You are expected to cite at least one academic source in your DB threads and replies. These sources would include the course textbooks, books, journal articles, periodicals, and similar publications. Sources such as Wikipedia and online dictionaries do not count as academic sources and should not be used. Biblical references are encouraged, but will not count as an academic source.

A 75-year-old veteran with PTSD and depression

Your paper should have the following four major sections: a title page, an abstract, body of the paper, and a “References” list at the end. Please see below for more information regarding each section:
I. An APA title page on page 1 with the usual APA formatting and information.
II. An abstract on page 2.
III. These 11 components of the body of the paper and what you should include in each:
1 Theoretical and Research Basis for Treatment
Here you should discuss background research on your patient’s disease(s) or health condition(s), with APA citations. Toward the end of this section, you will need to include a statement about what you are trying to accomplish through your clinical case study. In most cases, your goal will be to examine whether a specific treatment or treatments will work for your patient.
2 Case Introduction
In this section you should discuss very briefly (in two sentences or so) who your patient is in terms of their demographics and why they were referred to you. Please use the information from one of the four prompts provided at the beginning of the assignment for this section and make up a reason why they were referred to you. In general, the information in this section should be made up for the purpose of the assignment because your patient is not a real person.
3 Presenting Complaints
This section should be dedicated to your patient’s symptoms. Since your patient is not a real person, you will need to make up their symptoms while making them as realistic as possible. So, for example, if you are writing about a person with anxiety and substance use disorder, you will need to come up with symptoms that typically occur with these disorders. (If you are going to look up symptoms because you don’t know enough information about the condition(s), please cite your sources properly using APA citation style.) Please feel free to make this section as dramatic, intense, and complicated as you only want to. Imagine you are a fiction writer who is trying to paint a character who comes across as a real person to the reader.
4 History
Discuss the patient’s medical history in terms of when their issues originally began and why. Again, this information must be made up because your patient is not a real person.
5 Assessment
Here you need to talk about how you examined your patient’s condition(s). Typically, medical professionals use specific assessments for specific condition(s), and you will need to figure out how that’s done for your patient’s specific condition(s). You will need to research this information and provide APA citations for the assessment methods that you are going to use for your patient.
6 Case Conceptualization
Here you need to talk about the specific treatment plan that you have chosen for your patient and the scientific evidence behind it, with APA citations.
7 Course of Treatment and Assessment of Progress
In this section describe the specifics of the treatment your patient underwent with you as their provider and how it went. So, for example, you can describe each individual treatment session, what exactly you did, and how the patient responded. Did they get better? This information should be made up but should again appear realistic to the reader.
8 Complicating Factors and Access/Barriers to Care
Describe any complications that came up when you were treating your patient. If your patient encountered any difficulties related to their access to treatment, please discuss them as well. The information in this section should be made up.
9 Follow-Up
Describe any follow-up visits and what your patient told you about how they felt at the time. (Any persisting improvement in symptoms?) This information should be made up.
10 Treatment Implications of the Case
Explain to the reader what the case study demonstrates about the treatment(s) used and why it matters. If you choose to use any sources in this section, please include APA in-text citations.
11 Recommendations to Clinicians and Students
Explain what other clinicians and students in your field can learn from this specific case and how they can apply your findings and experience with this treatment to similar cases that they encounter. If you choose to use any sources in this section, please include APA in-text citations.
IV. References formatted in APA.
Please that every source must be cited both via APA in-text citations and in the “References” section at the end.

On a trip to the natural history museum, you find two minerals that are similar in color. You can see from their chemical formulas that one mineral contains the elements zinc, carbon, and oxygen. The other mineral contains the elements zinc, silicon, oxygen, and hydrogen. Your friend tells you that the minerals are in the same mineral group. Do you agree? Explain your reasoning.

Utilize 3 of the sources provided to answer this prompt in detailed writing.

Annual Association Meeting

For this Unit VI Assignment, continue with the fast food industry you selected in Unit II.
The annual association meeting for the fast food industry will take place soon. You have been asked to present a report regarding the current status of the federal budget and fiscal policies in place in the United States. For your presentation, write a report (in essay form) in which you consider and explain how the current status of the federal budget and fiscal policy will impact your chosen industry over the next 2 years, using economic theory to support the conclusions you draw.
Do not write your report based just on textbook theory—address current policy and how it will impact your industry, based on theory.
Address the following in your report as appropriate:
expansionary and contractionary fiscal policy,
fiscal policies used to close a recessionary gap and an expansionary gap, and
the rationale for budget deficits.
Your report must be a minimum of four pages (1,000 words, double-spaced). You have already completed assignments concerning your selected industry in Units II and IV. Reviewing the information you gathered for those assignments should help you when completing this one.
Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.
The United States Government Publishing Office website is a helpful website for finding information for this assignment.

Capital Budgeting Case Study

A private school is considering the purchase of six school buses to transport students to and from school events. The initial cost of the buses is $600,000. The life of each bus is estimated to be 5 years, after which time the vehicles would have to be scrapped with no salvage value. The school’s management team has derived the following estimates for annual revenues and cost for the next 5 years.
Year 1
Year 2
Year 3
Year 4
Year 5
Revenues

$120,000
$120,000
$120,000
$120,000
The buses would be purchased at the beginning of the project (i.e., in Year 0) and all revenues and expenditures shown in the table above would be incurred at the end of each relevant year.
Because schools are exempt from taxes, the school’s corporate tax rate is 0 percent. A business consultant has advised management that they should use a weighted average cost of capital (WACC) of 10.5% to evaluate this project. Net present value of $30,966.43.
Which of the three evaluation techniques that was computed (i.e., payback period, IRR and NPV), should the firm use to make its decision of whether or not to accept this project? (see attachment) Why did you choose this technique? Is one of these techniques better than the others and if so, why?
Finally, what are some risk factors inherent in this capital budgeting analysis? Make a list of at least three items that could cause the outcome of this project to be substantially worse than management currently expects (as reflected in their revenue and cost estimates, WACC estimate, etc.). Fully explain each of the risk factors you identify.
Length: 4-5 pages, not including title page and references; (You may wish to include an appendix to accommodate tables and figures.)
References: You are expected to provide at least three references for this assignment.
Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic
