Do we put too much faith in science or do we not put enough in science?
Regardless of yes or no, is it because we do not understand science or are not interested in it?
Or is it because we are not sure which science to believe?

Below are the instructions sent from my teacher for the midterm. I did type up a few examples of discipline and motivation in my classroom. Feel free to use my examples. I have a whole class motivation. The motivation is a pizza party. However, because of COvid we are not allowed to have pizza parties. Instead we have either a pajama and movie day, or ice cream party. The whole class needs to get a compliment from either myself or another teacher. They have to work collectively to earn this reward. Another motivation I use is group motivation. The class is split up when we walk in the hallway. It is boys vs. girls. Whoever can walk most quietly to our destination will get a tally mark. Whichever group receives 10 tally marks will receive a scratch off prize. Another motivation my students have is self motivation. I purchase raffle tickets and whenever I see a student doing something good they will receive a ticket. At the end of the day the students put whatever tickets they have in a jar and every other Friday I will pick out 5 names and they will get to choose from the prize jar. I think its very important to have class, group and self motivation so it keeps them motivated to do their best throughout the day.
Discipline is applied in my classroom by a chart that is hung on the back of our door. The students each have a clothespin with their name on it, Everyone starts at I am ready to learn. There are two spaces that you can move up if you are doing a great job throughout the day and there are three spaces that you can move down if you are not showing appropriate behavior. The first space down is a warning. The second space down is a consequence. The last space is parent contact. The reason why I put the behavior chart in the front of the room is so it’s visible to all students. I find they are less likely to act in a bad manner when the chart is on display for their classmates to see. Another discipline that I have used before is sitting out of recess for the appropriate amount of time pertaining to what they have done to earn it. I think when they take away something the child loves they are more likely to not disobey the rules.
