Assignment For this assignment, write a paper explaining your vision for leading effectively as a social worker. In your explanation, apply a theoretical perspective from social work and a leadership style (as examples, leadership styles might include transformational, transactional, Laissez-Faire, or other leadership styles). Use an evidence-based approach to explain your chosen leadership style and evaluate the skill set (strengths and weaknesses) associated with the leadership style that guides your approach.

The company you work for has experienced a significant reduction in revenue leading the company to employee layoffs. You are one of several managers who manage a small team (5 people) that works directly with a small group of clients and have been notified that two people from your team are being laid off.
Obviously, this will impact how your teams functions. The remaining team members will need to take on the work of the two employees who are no longer there. The clients your team works with will be assigned to new employees. And those employees will now be managing more clients than they did previously.

Describe the needs assessment process and its connection to a real organization. You will use the same organization you used for Units 1 and 2. Select an organization that you are sufficiently positioned with to get the information you need for this assignment. It could be a company you have worked with or a nonprofit organization with which you have had some experience. It will be more difficult to complete the assignment if you select an organization where you are an outsider, unable to gather the needed information.
Remember that a job is a specific position involving the completion of specific tasks. A task is what the employee does in a specific job. A task requires specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and other considerations (KSAOs) that employees must master to be successful. For training to be successful, it must be targeted and specific. A task analysis is a means of focus. Just what is the job? What tasks are required for the job? Taking one task, what are the KSAOs for that task?
