Diagnostic Skill Application I
For this assignment, you will work with two case studies (linked in the Resources):
The Case of Jenny:
Jenny is a 29-year-old single female who lives with her mother. She is bisexual, but is not currently dating. Jenny was recently in a relationship with a man, and they lived together briefly. They parted amicably when they just did not seem to be enjoying being together. Jenny moved back in with her mother, Barbara, to allow her boyfriend to take in a roommate to cover her share of the rent. She works as a bank teller and makes a modest income. She felt moving back home would allow her to provide some financial help to her mother. Jenny’s mother raised her as a single parent. Jenny and Barbara have shared many ups and downs over the years. Things were never easy, but they always made it through. Barbara is becoming increasingly concerned that Jenny is giving up on life and needs to snap out of it.
The Case of Marisol:
Marisol is a 40-year-old single female from a tight-knit Puerto Rican family. She is employed full time as a data analyst for a technology company. She has steadily progressed in her career by working for relatively small companies, where her role allowed her to work relatively independently. Unfortunately, working for small organizations was less stable financially, so she has been working for a larger company for the past four years. Interacting with a larger work group has challenged her comfort zone. She prefers to spend time with a network of close friends she has known most of her life, with whom she visits one-on-one. Her family lives in the area, and she sees them frequently. Her parents and older brother have always provided a support system and practical help. She enjoys quiet evenings alone or at the home of her brother and his family. Her friends and family privately wonder why she has never dated or wanted to travel.

For each case study, you will complete a descriptive diagnosis using tools you select from the list of assessment tools provided later in the assignment. Each case requires the following information to be addressed:
Identify presenting concerns from the client’s perspective as described in the video and accompanying narrative. Include relevant cultural and systemic considerations that frame the client’s presentation.
Describe what information has been provided in each case that helps to determine which disorders are appropriate for consideration (differential diagnoses) for a final diagnosis. Evaluate how at least one assessment tool, which is listed in the List of Assessment Tools resource, will aid in obtaining further information to back up your final diagnosis. The Differential Diagnosis Decision Tree may be helpful to guide this process.
Present DSM-5 and ICD-10 codes, including relevant Z codes.
Provide a descriptive rationale for the DSM diagnosis that best fits the information provided including relevant ICD codes. This should be written in a narrative form using complete sentences. Support your rationale with scholarly sources. Optional readings found in the course syllabus may be particularly relevant.
Determine if a medication consultation is appropriate and provide a rationale with support from scholarly sources.

Make sure you proofread and revise your essay before submitting.
Assignment Submission:
The use of outside resources is strongly recommended, and all papers must be cited and written in APA format.
Once you have completed the assignment, click the Submit Assignment option in the menu to the right and select a format for submitting your assignment.
Click the Submit Assignment button when you are ready.
Detailed Directions:
Choose any controversial topic that you want. The important part is that it has at least two points of view. I highly suggest that you check out procon.org (Links to an external site.) (Link will open in new tab.)
Find about three or four reasons to support each side of the argument. Again procon.org (Links to an external site.) (Link will open in new tab.) is awesome for this.
Organize your paper into four paragraphs
Paragraph 1: Introduction
Paragraph 2: Pro or con
Paragraph 3: Pro or con
Paragraph 4: Conclusion
If you want to write an unbiased comparison, it doesn’t matter whether you start with pro or con. However, if you have an opinion on the topic, you want to put the side you agree with in the third paragraph.
Don’t forget to include a reference!
create a video on Substance Use & Abuse class
Create a script for a video representation of your approved topic that you covered in Part I using a website such as www.powtoon.com (or similar website – other examples are listed in the syllabus). The script you create should clearly demonstrate the knowledge you gained on this issue.
Here are the specific steps and guidelines to follow for the scripted video using avatars.
1) Write out a script of your answers to this issue that clearly demonstrate the answers to the questions in Part I.
2) Be sure to type dialogue, gestures, sound effects, facial expressions, including pauses and other nonverbal cues to give the situation meaning.
3) Do not use R-rated language!!!
4) Upload the script and video link (at the end of your script) to the Final Project Part II Submission folder.

Embezzlement in the Workplace
Based on the paper attached to this order I would like you as my writer to analyze potential solutions and their impacts while focusing on demonstrating reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
Potential Solutions and Impacts
Identify three potential solutions to the ethical dilemmas.
For each solution consider the potential impacts and outcomes.
Identify the key stakeholder (such as employees, customers/clients, the local community, or the environment).
Each potential solution should be viewed through and explained from, the point of view of the ethical theory you have determined is best suited to the case.
For example, if you choose utilitarianism, your focus will be on end results. On the other hand, if you decided on deontology, you would judge your solution based on how well it conforms to universally held principles. Conclude your discussion by explaining which possible solution is the best based on your ethical beliefs.
References, as always, are very important here as I will be needing them to do my own research about the paper. Please provide in-text citations and references using APA formatting to at least three sources.

Your task is to write and deliver a 5-minute informative speech. Choose an informative topic, do your own research and construct an original speech.
How To Construct Your Speech
Choose your topic. Keep in mind the interest and knowledge of you and your audience.
An attention getter is the first part of our speech and how we should begin. So, we do not begin our speech by sharing our name, speech topic or title. We start our speech by telling a story, sharing a startling statistic, giving a dramatic illustration
Use the library and the Internet to search for 3 credible sources. Credible sources include (but are not limited to): newspapers, magazines, books, original data from professional journals, and credible websites. PLEASE DO NOT use or cite Wikipedia, blogs, WebMD, About.com as they are not credible sources of information.
Organize your main points in a meaningful pattern.
Add evidence from your sources to support your main points and add any additional explanations, stories or examples. Be sure to cite sources in your outline and, orally in the presentation. Sources should be cited in MLA or APA format. For examples of MLA & APA citations, please consult the documents labeled “MLA examples” and “APA examples” on Canvas. You must have at least two sources
Write your outline using full sentences and paying attention to the correct format and include a reference page. (I’LL ATTACH AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE OUTLINE SHOULD BE)
Speech Outline
You will be constructing and submitting an outline along with your speech presentation. Your outline should be written in full sentences and should follow the hierarchal roman numeral and letter or number format discussed in module 2 and our textbook. (STAND UP SPEAK UP)
Here is an example outline. Please use this as a template and follow the structure very closely
Please submit your outline separately to the Major Speech 1 Informative Speech Outline assignment. Your outline grade will be a part of your major speech 1 grade (even though you will submit your video and outline separately).
