Film Music
Listen to the five excerpts (and only the first five minutes of each).
These are examples of movie soundtracks, specifically opening title sequences and main themes. The title sequences are meant to invite the viewer into the ambience of the film, and “set up” the nature of the film itself, while the main themes are meant to signify the main idea of the film or its main character.
Provide a response the following questions for each excerpt:
Describe what you feel the music is attempting to convey. Do not describe the film itself, but what aspects of the film the music is attempting to convey. What kind of film is this? When is it set? What can you guess about the protagonist?

How is it doing so? Use terminology learned in this course to support your argument. (Go back to the module on Function, and note how I describe the TV theme music).
This assignment is not about describing the film or the use of music in the film itself —a much higher weight is placed upon the second question!

Overview
Euthanasia, cloning, abortion, gene therapy, organ donation, eugenics, blood transfusions, vaccinations, surrogation, end-of-life issues, and physician-assisted suicide are a few of the bioethical issues facing society in healthcare. These issues affect every healthcare profession. An example of bioethical issues that eventually affect all of us are those associated with the end-of-life. It is wise to consider the use of advanced directives before one may be necessary. An advanced directive is a legal document that outlines specific details as to how an individual desires to have their wishes carried out on his/her behalf if they are no longer able to communicate and/or have died.
For patients to be sure their expectations for end-of-life are carried out as they desire for their healthcare, it will be helpful for them to have a living will, documents for DNR (do not resuscitate) orders, and required forms for organ and tissue donation. For this assignment, create a summary paragraph discussing what each document is, the importance of each document, and reasons why each document might be used in healthcare. Also, discuss any ethical dilemmas that may be present if these documents are not created prior to a person’s incapacitation or death.
Create a summary providing details about each of the forms: living wills, DNR orders, and tissue and organ donation options.
Be sure to discuss the importance of each document with details of a description of each one, the importance of each one, and provide at least 1 reason with an example as to how these forms would be useful in healthcare.

Explore connections between the Black Lives Matter
movement and music. There are many ways of approaching this topic, including song, lyric
or album analyses; the role of specitic musicians/performers; critiques of racial
inequalities; political/social consciousness; or a comparison with music and the Civil Rights
movement. You may also choose other angles to explore; these are simply suggestions and
ways to get you thinking about the assignment. Your essay will need a thesis statement that
