Discuss your state’s action coalition’s work as it aligns with these four recommendations.

Discuss your state’s action coalition’s work as it aligns with these four recommendations. Is each recommendation being addressed?
In 2010, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report published The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, the purpose of which was aimed at creating a series of recommendations that aimed at developing an action plan to improve the future of nursing, the IOM recommendations were identified with the work that the ANA had carried out for the advancement and continuous improvement of nursing professionals. Over time, activities have been developed that are consistent with the ION recommendations (IOM Future of Nursing Report, n. d). The IOM has recognized nurses as leaders of change; since they are a determining element in promoting the reform suggested by its recommendations, all nurses must know and are educated and informed to participate directly in the progress of the recommendations given by the IOM (Battié, 2013). According to the publication of the IOM report, the 50 states and the District of Columbia created “action coalitions” based on the report’s four recommendations (South University Online. Health Care Policies. The Future of Nursing, 2022). In the State of Florida, where I live, the Florida Action Coalition, which has its headquarters in the Florida Nursing Workforce, among its actions, I carry out actions to promote nursing leaders by developing a state survey from which a training program for nurse leaders was derived for the I work on the board, that is, the board developed a job for the training of emerging nurse leaders in an online learning program for three months, this allowed the trained nurses to contribute more as leaders in the development of health policies that contribute to changing and improving nursing education and care in this state. As part of the recommendations that address the second objective related to nursing education through the expansion of schools and increasing the capacity for nursing scholarships, the action of Florida State Coalition designed a scholarship program for nursing students and thus strengthening nursing care in the state, and improving its quality, thus providing a group of highly trained nurses in a sustained manner (Florida: State Implementation Program. N.d.).
Based on your website analysis, how would you describe your state’s progress toward meeting the IOM recommendations?
I think that the Florida Board of Nursing supports the nursing education objectives of the IOM report. As I explained earlier, actions were taken to advance these objectives. However, work still needs to contribute to advancing other recommendations, such as the fourth recommendation related to preparing nurses in the different environments in which they could work. Specifically, I would like to refer to primary health care; I think it is essential that a community approach be carried out in the training of nurses that brings them closer to places where people have less accessibility to nursing coverage, where it is necessary to carry out preventive and educational work on chronic non-communicable diseases, nutrition, obesity, physical exercise. According to the state of Florida, the main barriers that arose were, in some cases, lack of competition, the necessary infrastructure to implement the change not existing, lack of public education on mental health issues, and stigma, among others. And among the facilitating factors that facilitated and contributed to the implementation of the recommendations were leadership, understanding of the reform and its link with the legislation, and coordinated action between agency and government levels.

Explain what was going on during this short period of time which changed the normal relationship between changes in the real wage rate and changes in real GDP.

How are changes in the real wage rate related to changes in real GDP during most of the time pictured in your graph? Can you spot a short period of time on your graph when this relationship is violated? Explain what was going on during this short period of time which changed the normal relationship between changes in the real wage rate and changes in real GDP.
Here is a hint for the last question: A few times this semester you have read about an interesting phenomenon that took place during the Great Recession. This phenomenon is what caused real wages to behave in a weird way during that time.
