Design and describe an experiment that could test this hypothesis (4 points).

Scenario A (10
points): A professor is interested in whether taking
online quizzes over a chapter before discussing the chapter in class will
improve students’ test performance. The
professor is interested in examining the testing effect, the finding that
taking a memory test not only assesses what one knows, but also enhances later
retention. The professor hypothesizes that students who take chapter quizzes
will score higher on the midterm exam than students who do not take chapter
quizzes.

1. Design and describe
an experiment that could test this hypothesis (4 points).

2. Identify the IV and
DV (3 points).

3. Provide an
operational definition of each variable (3 points).

Discuss the situation as well as the following; What would you have done differently, if at all?

eflect upon a decision you have made or a problem you have solved in the past year. Apply at least one theoretical approach to your problem/decision. Discuss the situation as well as the following; What would you have done differently, if at all? Identify if you were in a leadership or management position. How would this situation be different if you were in the other position? Support your discussion and opinions with facts, relevant examples from personal nursing practice, and at least two citations from the reading or peer-reviewed professional nursing literature. Remember to use APA Manual (7th ed.) formatting for all discussion posts in-text and reference citations.
See the Nursing Syllabus Standards & Policies Document for Discussion Participation Guidelines & Grading Criteria.

: Identify and define a word you either have heard used or use yourself that maybe wasn’t around a few years ago.

THERE ARE TOTAL OF TWO PARTS FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT.

PLEASE SEPARATE THE ANSWERS FOR EACH PART.

EX) PART 1) —— PART 2)—–

PART 1)

As we learn more about language, we begin to observe language and communication in a new way. The way
language changes over time is a particularly interesting point of study.

This Atlantic article, entitled, “Teens aren’t Ruining Language (Links to an external site.) from 2016 discusses
language changes and how new words develop, evolve, and fall in and out of “hipness”. (An added bonus of this
article being from 2016 is that we can see how the years that have passed have affected the words they discuss.)

https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2016/01/blatantly-budge-and-other-dead-slang/431433/

Read the article and watch the two short videos within, then share with the class your discussion of the following
topics:

Part 1: Select an excerpt from the article or one of the videos that you found to shine insight on how language
changes and comment on it’s relevance and why you found it interesting.

Part 2: Identify and define a word you either have heard used or use yourself that maybe wasn’t around a few years ago.

PART 2)

A U.S. gymnast said the following during an Associated Press interview:

“All the girls were like, ‘You can do it, it’s fine.’ I was like, ‘C’mon, guys. I’m fine.’ I’m like, ‘Ok, I’ve done this routine so many times.”‘

Questions: Do you or does anyone you know use the word “like” in this way? Why do you think this use is so
common today? Is this type of language appropriate in the workplace? Explain.

Describe some of the challenges you see studying and working with people different from yourself, and what you would contribute in your interactions.

Applied Behavior Analysis Program
1.Describe the areas of applied behavior analysis that most interest you – including your professional goals –and how
those interests developed. How will completion of the doctoral program in Applied Behavior Analysis facilitate achieving your professional goals?
2. As a behavior analyst, you are likely to work and study with people from different backgrounds. Describe some of the challenges you see studying and working with people different from yourself, and what you would contribute in your
interactions.

Explain, in other words, the meaning and significance of the menorah and/or the Star of David for Judaism, of the ichthus and/or cross for Christianity, of the crescent moon and star for Islam, of the nine-point star for Baha’i.

For the sake of your own education, select symbols and religions with which you are unfamiliar.
Create a post, at least 250 words in length, in which you present and explain one or more symbols representing one or more of these four religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and/or Baha’i). Explain, in other words, the meaning and significance of the menorah and/or the Star of David for Judaism, of the ichthus and/or cross for Christianity, of the crescent moon and star for Islam, of the nine-point star for Baha’i. Embed an image of the symbol(s) and explain the significance of the symbol(s) for the religion(s) involved.
This discussion will receive a numerical grade up to 100 points and is worth five percent of the student’s final course grade. The discussion will be graded on the basis of:
How well the student writes the English language (valued at 40 percent of the grade);
How thoroughly the student completes both steps (40 percent for Step One and 10 percent for Step Two); and
How professional, courteous, and respectful the student is in his/her response(s) to others (10 percent).

Explain the Background of your problem, the definition of the variables.

This is a formal 10-12-page paper on your EBP practice improvement project (This does not include the title page, abstract, and references). This assignment requires the use of evidence-based references. Preferable systematic reviews, clinical practice guidelines, and protocols, RTCs, and other higher levels of evidence (See hierarchy)
Instructions:
Write a 10-12 paper (excluding cover and reference page). Include the body of the paper with the following titled sections:
Abstract
Title (introduction) with purpose
Background
Methods
Literature Review of the proposed change
Discussion (what was learned)
Proposed change implementation
Proposed methods to measure outcomes of the change
Recommendations for Practice change.
Conclusion and implications for nursing.
Identifies the significant clinical problem and the intervention that will resolve the problem.
Describe the problem (PICO the question and write as a statement), including the purpose and goal of the EBP review (EBP proposal paper). Start with a global description of the importance of nursing and narrow your topic to the organizational level. Finalize these paragraphs with the purpose of the paper. What are you trying to achieve?
Explain the Background of your problem, the definition of the variables. Include any pertinent background and history pertaining to your problem or topic of interest and what has led you to believe this problem is of great significance to the nursing profession. The aim of this section is to help the reader understand the concepts and definitions of your topic of study.
Identify your source and method for searching the evidence (keywords, databases, inclusion, exclusion criteria). Find the highest level of evidence first and then proceed methodically through the hierarchy of evidence to answer the focused question. Remember “Not all evidence is created equal.” That is, we can have more confidence in some types of evidence than in others. Just because the evidence you have maybe a study or a clinical guideline published by an organization does not mean that it is the best evidence (i.e., the most objective or the most trustworthy). Refer to the levels of evidence and explain in this section how do you searched and classify the evidence (Use the literature matrix). Why are you trusting the results?
Include a review of the literature on your proposed change (intervention), practice guidelines, or other synthesis reports. Your paper should serve as a synthesis of what is currently known about your change, and what is being investigated. Do not simply summarize each of your sources; rather, integrate the information presented, and come up with your own interpretation of the data (you may use tables in this section to summarize the evidence).
Discuss, appraise and synthesize evidence. A critical review of all evidence that you will use to support your improvement efforts. Once the evidence is gathered, you must critically appraise each study to ensure its credibility and clinical significance. An easy method for conducting critical appraisal is to answer these three key questions:
What were the results of the study? (In other words, what is the evidence?)
How valid are the results? (Can they be trusted?)
Will the results be helpful in caring for other patients? (Are they transferable?)
Include suggestions for improvement/change (Aim) to whatever it is you are researching. For example, If you are proposing policy changes to current urinalysis protocols, how will this policy impact the organization and stakeholders? Patient and/or population expected to benefit directly from improved flow or process. The risk of participation is the same as receiving usual care. If risk or burden is higher than with usual care, consider research & IRB.
State what EBP model will you use to plan for your project. What plans do you have to measure key indicators, what about tools used to measure the outcomes, what is the validity or reliability if any. Measures may include knowledge, attitude, behavior/practices, and outcomes What about the sample? You may propose small but large enough samples to observe changes. What is the feasible for data collection, the minimal time needed, resources, costs? How will you conduct the data analysis? Who will be involved in the Organization?
Recommendations for practice change.
Write the conclusion of your paper, summarizing the main points and explaining its main purpose. Restate the topic, purpose, main points, and the significance of your findings. End this section with the implications for practice makes emphasis on the future of your topic.
Format references and citations using 7th ed. APA guidelines.

Between 2010 and 2012, Maximo’s employee numbers grew from 38 to 518, and they experienced continued success. Upscaling the old structure of small, product-based teams was an effective approach.
