This assignment will focus on the Diamond Estate Wines & Spirits Inc. case study. The case study analysis must be a 3-5 page single spaced report not including cover page and appendices. The report is to be written from the perspective of a strategic management consultant advising the senior decision maker(s) outlined in the case.

Your report to the Senior Decision Maker (s) should include the following:
• Brief outline and explanation of the key problems, decisions or issues and why they are important (2.5%).
• Further discussion and focus on what you see as 2-3 of the priority issues facing the company (7.5%).
• Analyze these key strategic issues and support your analysis with the concepts, frameworks and other course materials (60%). This analysis should be broken down
into:
o Macro-environmental Analysis
o Competitive / Industry Analysis
o Key Industry Pressures (KIPs) or Driving Forces
o Key Success Factors (KSFs)
• An assessment of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (5%).
• A discussion of any obstacles or challenges the company may face (5%).
• Discussion and analysis of a minimum of 2 options the organization has to address each of the key issues identified. Your discussion of the options should be based on your previous analysis and be inclusive of the advantages and disadvantages for the company (10%).
• A set of clearly defined and actionable recommendations that the company should pursue which link to your discussion and analysis (7.5%).
• Formatting, citations and writing style and clarity (2.5%).

Deliverable
Each individual is required to submit the assignment in business report format with appropriate cover page, sections and pagination to show distinct report sections, references and appendices that contain the required elements which demonstrate analysis of the fundamental issues facing the company.
Any worksheets, tables / grids etc. can be included as appendices / additional pages within the report if they are not directly relevant to the analysis.
There is no requirement to use external sources of information, data, analysis, ideas and/or suggestions related to the case. Your analysis should be based on the information provided in the case using the key course concepts and theories.

As we have discussed throughout our unit, Long Way Down tackles so many societal issues, from community to gun violence to toxic masculinity to the cycle of violence to the dangers of blindly following “The Rules” and beyond. Jason Reynolds uses the approachable format of a novel written in verse (short poems) to communicate a strong overall message to his audience about these urgent social issues (AKA the theme). As we have studied in-depth, Reynolds masterfully incorporates figurative language, different symbols, and detailed character development/relationships to make sure his overall message about these issues is ultimately crystal clear for his audience. For this assignment, you will write a five paragraph essay that decides WHAT you believe is Reynold’s final, most important overall message (theme) behind the novel and HOW he communicates this to his audience.
Think: What does Reynolds want his audience to walk away having learned from this book?

For this research paper, you’re going to select one of the listed topics to analyze. Each topic is centered around a time in LGBTQ history before the 1969 Stonewall Riots.
