Art of China

[Final Project Preparation Guide] -> Art of the East, China
Write a 1000-1500-word essay or create an art work (e. g. video or film) on one of the three topics listed below. Your essay or art work should analyze/utilize at least three examples/situations from different moments in Chinese art history. Instead of giving your essay or art work a rigid tripartite structure, with three separate sections focusing on selected works and situations, you should connect your examples into a coherent discussion or presentation through exploring their similarities and differences in changing historical contexts.
1) Throughout history, cultural exchange has been an important factor for the production of works of art in China. Pick three historical situations during which cultural exchange played a crucial role and discuss specific works of art or groups of artworks to analyze how styles, subject matter, materials, and concepts from outside were appropriated into Chinese visual culture
2) Art is related to politics in many ways. Please reconstruct three historical situations to illuminate three different kinds of relationships between art and politics. You may choose your cases from any moment in Chinese art history. In each case, however, you should demonstrate the connections between politics and contemporary developments of art style, content, and/or discourse.
3) Chinese painting has different yet coexisting formats — the handscroll, the hanging scroll, the painted screen, the album, the architectural mural, and so on. Each format is a unique medium, providing the artist with a specific possibility to develop visual images and demanding a specific way of viewing. Discuss the basic features and characteristics of three different formats, explain how these features are related to the development of pictorial imagery, and explore the interrelationship between these formats in the development of Chinese painting.

P.S., there have to be a lot of citations (10-20) from the book by Wu Hung. The class was an art requirement that looked at Chinese history through the lens of art (Han dynasty, Qing dynasty etc…)

For novice nurses, does a nurse mentorship program increase nurse retention compared with no mentorship?

The next step in the process is to identify evidence that your intervention, your “I” in your PICO question, is supported in the literature.
Based on the PICO question you picked in the Unit 2 Assignment, find a quantitative research study about the intervention (not the problem) related to the problem identified.
Do not use a website to find research articles.
Use the Library tab’s databases.
You will need to use the search techniques you learned in Unit 2, the library tutorial assignment for Unit 1, and the article that was linked to in the Unit 2 assignment.
Use the keywords that you identified for “intervention” in your Unit 2 PICO assignment. These are your search terms.
Directions for Search:
In CINAHL, using the library tab directions from a previous assignment, put those keywords in the search box.
Further narrow your search by using the search options for full text and evidence-based practice.
Use the search box “Publication Type” and choose “Randomized Controlled Trial.”
These are just suggestions. Experimenting with these search boxes will give you different results. This is to help you refine your search technique. The techniques are similar in Ovid and Proquest.
The article you pick needs to be a research study with an experimental or quasi-experimental design. It should be five (5) years old or less. See Topics 1 – 4 in the Unit 4 readings about these designs.

Please complete the attached file below. Try to submit early in the week. Your instructor will let you know if this is an appropriate article. If it is not, you will need to resubmit as many times as it takes for you to find one. By Sunday night you should have submitted and received confirmation that your techniques produced an article appropriate to use for the Unit 6 assignment.
Submit both the table and the article to the submission link
The instructor will put feedback in the grade center indicating if the article is correct or if more searching is needed.
You will need this article for the Unit 6 assignment.
Please review the rubric to ensure that your assignment meets criteria

israeli politics class

The following are the rules for this assignment:
1. The purpose of the final exam is to focus on comparison between different theories of Israeli Politics and application
of those theories to the case-studies;
2. Exams will be evaluated according to their creativity, correct usage of theories, organization, and style. Exams will also be credited for their ability to include citations from the appropriate readings from the course. You may use Wikipedia and any other reliable sources for finding facts, and you must use course’s material for the analysis of those facts;
Your task: Write a five (5) pages essay that will expand the given above
paragraph. Present in your paper the recent debates on the issues of
sovereignty, legitimacy, regime-type (Jewish & Democratic), social gaps,
cultural divides, gender issues, globalization, and peace process. Use at
least five (5) academic articles to introduce the problematic of the given
issues
and the paragraph that we are supposed to expand on:
Israel is a sovereign and legitimate nation state (both de-jure and
de-facto); it’s political regime is liberal democracy (yet debated by the
essentialists); it’s society is a mosaic in which ethnicity, class, gender,
religion, nationality and migration (also foreign labor) play a dynamic part
in the intricacies of the political system. The Israeli society has
experienced some major socio-political changes during its history: The
period until the mid-1970’s, when one political party (MAPAI) dominated
the socio-political arena and the second, until the present day when the
political system has been through many changes that alter the political
characters of the society. Israel has also experienced some crucial
changes within its collective identity: from the early 1950s, when the
founding fathers and mothers tried to mold a diverse immigrant
population into a homogeneous modern secular Jewish society (the
melting pot), to the collapse of the hegemonic Ashkenazi culture and
the development of post-modern multicenter society with
multiculturalism. In addition, recently there is an impact of globalization
and “Americanization” on Israeli culture. The legacy Israel inherited from
the British Mandate at its independence in 1948 included the emerging
of a welfare state. For a while, the new country led by MAPAI built a
broadly inclusive social infrastructure on this base. Today, however, after
the processes of global liberalization and privatization, the government is
basically limited to providing security, minimal education and health
care, and not much else. But the needs of the poor, the vulnerable, the
elderly and of the new immigrants can never be adequately met by
private means alone, and it turns out that the decay of Israeli welfare
state has brought to a broader social and political gaps within Israeli
society.
The search for peace in the Middle East dates back to the
establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, a war following the invasion
of the Jewish state by Arab countries, and the subsequent displacement
of many Palestinian Arabs. The breakthrough for peace came in 1993
when Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian leader Yasser
Arafat agreed to a framework for Palestinian autonomy in the West Bank
and Gaza in the Oslo accords. After Rabin’s assassination in 1995, the
peace process faltered. Relations between Israelis and Palestinians
turned sour as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s slowed down
diplomatic momentum after Oslo largely because of security concerns
and ideological resistance to withdraw from occupied/disputed
territories.
Basically I wish to focus on the social gaps in Israel. How it functions as an ethnic democracy, and how that consequently leads to bigger social gaps within the country.

M4.3 Discussion: Exporting and Economic/Political Systems

In this, you’ll have to make a recommendation whether to launch into one of two markets based on a consideration of both their political and economic environments.

Pre-step: Make sure you’ve reviewed our M4 Learning Materials.
As well as our M4 Module Notes.
M4.1 Module Notes: Political and Legal Environments’ Effect on International Business

Please review the module notes below prior to reviewing this week’s learning materials.

Throughout this course, we have looked at different environments which impact international businesses. In this module, we continue our exploration into the political and legal environments.

How might the political environment impact a product launch? Why would it be important to understand the legal environment in international business? Understanding these environments is vital to success in international business operations.

Political Environment
In this external business environment, an international business would look to government policy on international investment and possibly the need for lobbying or political negotiation. The political system in a foreign country can make business difficult on an international scale (Arel-Bundock, Peinhardt, & Pond, 2020).

Some of the factors to review relative to the political environment are:

• What is the type of governmental system?
• What types of trade agreements are in place?
• What trade barriers (tariffs, taxes, and regulations) exist (Asgary, 2019)?
For instance, we want to examine what type of government is in place. Is it a democracy? Is it authoritarian? By looking into these details, one can see how the country is run, and study any political barriers that may become obstacles to placing a corporate product within that country.

As you’ll see next, several of the political factors are closely tied to the legal environment (Arel-Bundock, Peinhardt, & Pond, 2020).

Legal Environment
Another environment to consider is the external legal environment, and it is here that business leadership would review the different laws on companies and possibly the regulation of trade or employment in that external country.

First, we should review a few basic legal definitions pertaining to international business. Companies that engage in international business must be familiar with public, private, and foreign laws because complicated legal affairs can arise.

Public International Law is the system of rules or principles that govern the conduct of, and relationships between, states and international organizations.

Private International Law is the relationship between persons and organizations that are engaged in international transactions (specifically addressing which laws are applicable when parties are in a legal dispute).

Foreign Law is a law enacted by a foreign country.

Some of the more common legal issues that may occur in international business include health and safety standards within the business, environmental practices, customs and duty taxes, employment practices, and intellectual property rights (Asgary, 2019). Businesses must undertake significant legal research, prior to entering an international market.

In conclusion…
So far in this module, we have reviewed how the political and legal environments could affect international business operations. Additionally, we started to examine some specific reasons why businesses would care about global political and legal systems around the world. Even though companies may do well by expanding outside national borders and entering a globalized business world, they still must adhere to the rules, regulations, and economies of the host countries.

In our upcoming discussion, you will have the opportunity to consider the implications of conducting business in markets with democratic versus non-democratic systems. Before you tackle that, however, please explore the module resources on the following page.

Step 1: Consider the scenario…
You work for an American firm that manufactures medical equipment. You are the head of the international division for your firm and have been tasked with investigating the feasibility of launching your product internationally. Your firm will make its launch decision based on your recommendations.
Step 2: Choose two countries that represent very different political systems.
Leveraging our country classification by government type map (Links to an external site.) (which can be zoomed into and hovered over to reveal country names), select one country from each of the democratic and non-democratic groupings below:
1. Democratic: Republic or Constitutional Monarchy
2. Non-Democratic: Theocracy, Absolute Monarchy, Semi-constitutional Monarchy or One-Party/Communist
Avoid countries classified as military states/provisional as those would obviously be poor candidates.

Do not choose the United States (as it’s not a foreign market in this scenario). Also do not choose your project country.

Step 3: Research your two chosen countries.
To determine the economic and political climate for your business venture. Analyze how the economic and political environment would impact the potential success of your product expansion. What might aid the expansion’s success? What might hinder it?
Step 4: Complete your initial post and provide a recommendation.
Of the two countries that you researched, which will you recommend to your medical equipment company for their proposed international expansion?

• Be sure to justify your recommendation based on both economic and political environment considerations and discuss both advantages and disadvantages.
Your initial response should be at least 300 words.
Step 5: Reply to at least three classmates who chose different countries, addressing the following:
• What things did they consider in making their decision that you didn’t? Are those considerations relevant to your markets? Why or why not?
Discussion Board Reminders!
• Post a 2 to 4 paragraph discussion post (300 words minimum). Justify your explanations by including in-text citations and your references in APA format as applicable.
