Issues or limitations of the research design should be acknowledged or addressed. For example, if the recruitment procedure is to contact participants via email how will it be ensured that the sample recruited is representative of the population of interest?

For full-credit responses to the two question prompts combined should be a minimum of 3-4 pages (double-spaced). Note that the response can be shorter for first question as greater detail is necessary to outline a “good sampling process”.
Responses should include specific references to technical concepts of sampling & research design covered in the course material.
Detail of the method & procedure is required to demonstrate comprehension of the material. Simply mentioning terms (e.g., “random sampling”) is not sufficient for full credit.

Assignment 5 Survey Research Part 1- Same Research Question as Previous assignments attached

Before you design your survey, you need to think about the following questions. Begin your assignment by answering the following:
What is your objective in conducting a survey? Is it descriiptive? Do you only want to describe what is out there (for ex. people’s attitudes, beliefs, opinions about X)? Why would this be sufficient for your research study? Or is it analytical? Do you want to analyze why people think the way do about X, Y, Z? In other words, do you want to analyze where their beliefs, opinions, thoughts about X,Y, Z are coming from, how are they shaped and by what? Why do you think this would be appropriate for your research study?
Who are the people you plan to survey? Age, class, gender, education, etc? Why? How are they relevant to your research study?
What are the key areas in which you want to ask them questions?

Instructions: Please read the following topics carefully and choose one. Write an essay of at least 750 words that follows the conventions of standard college writing. Your essay should include an introduction with a thesis statement, fully-developed body paragraphs with supporting quotations, and a conclusion. Remember to keep your tone both formal and sensitive to as many different readers as possible. Do not write on a specific topic that you have written on before, and the works you choose must be from our course’s syllabus. A Work Cited page is not necessary, but remember to document your quotations with MLA-style parenthetical citations.

Choose three works and discuss how the main characters conflict with their society’s expectations. Discuss how social rules or conventions limit the development of the characters, and compare how they deal with these limitations.

With respect to cyberattacks, the CIA wants to determine who is responsible for cyberattack and if the responsible party is a branch of a foreign government, what that government’s plans and objectives are. Information about non-government attacks would be passed onto other US agencies for action.

Please show that you are keeping up with the Reading and Resources by discussing the authors and their ideas. Mention their names so that your classmates will recognize them.

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
Role

The CIA’s missions
include: collecting information that reveals the plans, intentions, and
capabilities of our adversaries and provides the basis for decision and action;
producing timely analysis that provides insight, warning and opportunity to the
President and decision-makers charged with protecting and advancing America’s
interests; and conducting covert action at the direction of the President to
preempt threats or achieve US policy objectives.

With respect to cyberattacks, the CIA wants to determine who is responsible for
cyberattack and if the responsible party is a branch of a foreign government,
what that government’s plans and objectives are. Information about
non-government attacks would be passed onto other US agencies for
action. The CIA has become active in conducting quasi-military,
semi-covert actions to deal with threats. One example is the drone attacks
against terrorists in the Pakistani hinterlands. Another unconfirmed
example is a cyberattack by the US launched in cooperation with Israel against
the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

The CIA has close working relations with some intelligence agencies in the
region, notably Japan and South Korea. When it can do so without jeopardizing operational
secrecy and when it is consistent with mutual interests, the CIA will work in
cooperation with other intelligence agencies to collect information and conduct
covert operations.

The CIA is highly concerned about the threat of cyberattacks on its systems and
databases and has invested substantially in what it calls information assurance
– protecting its systems and data against penetration.

In past incidents of espionage, the CIA has recommended to the State Department
that foreign nationals suspected of espionage be deported and that ambassador
and other embassy staff from the offending country be sent home.

Your responsibility is to articulate to the other people participating in this
activity (1) the national interests at stake from the perspective of your
office; (2) the single most important action that the CIA should take to
protect those interests and (3) the single most important action that other
agencies (Defense Department, Homeland Security Department, State Department,
Treasury Department, Commerce Department) should take to protect those
interests.

The end result of this activity should be a consensus among the participants
about the national interests at stake and the three most important actions that
the US government should take.

If you want this task write 5/3/2022 at the beginning of your bid. Otherwise, you won’t be chosen.
