After reading the novella, write at least three strong paragraphs theorizing as to WHY Bartleby goes into a downward spiral. What has driven him to this point? Why is there no turning back? YOU MUST CITE page numbers to back yourself up. Even if you are coming up with something totally off the wall as an answer, you need to prove where the idea came from. There must be something that he says or does to give you an idea of why he becomes the way he becomes. I have had some really creative and crazy answers with this assignment in the past. I LOVE THAT! Be creative! Make something up, but BACK YOURSELF UP with the text somehow.
Pay attention to where he is coming from initially, who he is working with, the job expectations before and after he begins to slow in his work, etc. The only way you could really have a wrong answer here is if you don’t put your all in the three paragraphs, you don’t cite your theories, and you come across as someone who clearly did not read the text. One more thing: simply saying that he is depressed (although you would probably be right) is not sufficient. I want to know what you believe triggered it all.
Make me proud, people! Put some thought in to this. You could really make this into an interesting assignment.

For the purpose of this assignment, imagine that you work for a company that produces an F-16 unmanned drone for the military (like the one that is shown in the video below) that will be used to photograph different locations it is flying over. Because you are new to the company, you have been tasked to explain in writing to the vice-president of your division what consideration should be given to the following issues:
What potential crimes would impact the integrity of the data stored within the drone, or in other storage locations connected to drone activity? (Discuss crimes that are captured by the drone and where they are stored, even if the drone’s storage locations involve iCloud or network storage areas).
What would be the most advantageous way to extract data that is considered evidence of those crimes listed in question #1? (Describe in detail the best way and/or challenges to extract the data from these storage locations on the drone)
What digital tools (hardware and/or software) could you use to help search for suspicious data in crimes, or to hack into the data captured by the drone?
Explain in detail how illegally obtaining data created by the drone could affect national security, and the threats posed (posed by terrorism). Review your weekly readings.

Your final paper, which will be due during our Final Examination Week, on or by Friday, May 20, 2022, will be a 7-8 page paper, answering the following question:
If all of the primary sources you have read, viewed (if they were works of art) or listened to (if they were musical works) are placed in chronological order—that is, with the oldest sources first, and the most recent source last—in which area do you believe western Europeans experienced the most significant change between 300 and 1789?

Jursisprudence essay is a thought essay but it has to present arguments supported by mentioning philosphers and their philosophis, but only mention them if they support your argumment. More details are in the attached files. Please use the jurisprudence notes 2 file but try to paraphrase them as they are written by another student. But they are notes taking from the professor classes. Try to use the philophiers legal opinions if they align with the essay argument. The questions he proposed are about democracy in the U.S. and the rule of law. You should basically talk bad about the U.S. and that is going to satisfy the professor. Please read the details in the jurisprudence essay becuase it has the questions of the essay and the whole prompt as well. The essay should not have table of contents or bibliography,
but it can have footnotes since it will be using outside the curriculum sources. The essay is 30 pages of analysis not facts!

Choose a topic of interest in the law of public communication. This will be a researched essay to be submitted by the end of the semester. Exploring ocean communities
In this assignment, we explore the communities found in our oceans, and the many relationships that exist between the inhabitants. We’ll watch a video that brings us close-up into communities so very different than our own, and yet, the relationships among community members there are very much the same. The video is just under an hour, so give yourself time to view and enjoy. Maybe invite a friend and make some popcorn. It is fun and enjoyable viewing – settle in…
Next you will listen live to the open ocean “soundscape” to hear some of the largest and most interesting organisms under the water surface. First find out about the science of listening to whales, then relax and listen in to the songs of the whales.

1. Watch the documentary video below. As you do, think about the many topics we have covered. Ideas such as populations, environment, habitat, niche, predator and prey, competition… I hope you just sit back and soak it all in, but if you are really pressed for time, I will never know if you skim through more quickly.
2. Listen to the voices. When we think of ocean organisms, we do not often think of “listening” to them. Here is a short and interesting video with the scientist who got us all started listening under water.

3. Now to hear live sounds from off the California coast, go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute page by clicking on the picture of the killer whale below. Read about the research and recording, then go to the link “Listen to live audio” on that page. If the sounds are not live at this time, look down the page a little farther and click on the links in the recording library. There you will find sounds of nine different species of whales, as well as rain and earthquakes.
4. After viewing the ocean community video and listening to the whales, write a one page commentary on your experience. I want you to think deeply about the other creatures that live in community with us, even if we are quite distant from them. Consider the following:
a. After watching the videos, what questions do you have about the various creatures, and the environment in which they all live? What would you still like to know?
b. After watching the videos, can you identify some relationships, such as predator, prey and competitors? Discuss a few of these relationships.
c. After listening to the sounds – the songs – what do you think about the whales ability to communicate? How might this communication help them to be successful in their ocean environment.
d. All these creatures exist right now in an environment very, very foreign to us. Stop and think that right now – while you are thinking about this – multiple species are living out their lives in the complexity of a coral reef community. Right now, a killer whale is gliding slowly through deep water, making sounds that other whales and ocean life can hear and recognize. How does that make you feel about your place on earth? About the diversity of life?
