Find a history book. This needs to be a college/university history book. There are plenty of good books in the SOWELA library. It can be on any historical subject. Read the book and write a critique of the book. Do not write a summary. If you write a summary you will get an F. Sorry. Write what YOU think about the book. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE OR YOU WILL FAIL THE COURSE. I am looking for your ideas and your opinion. YOU have something to offer because no one has your experiences. YOU are unique, therefore, no one has YOUR perspective. The book review should be at least three pages long.
Remember — this needs to be a critique of the book. Write a short synopsis and then immediately begin critiquing the book. Discuss what you liked and what you did not like and why. The WHY is most important here. Remember — this is YOUR opinion so as long as you support your opinion you cannot get this wrong.
That is the best I can do, It will not allow me to screenshot on the computer.

Advanced financial management term paper
From me: the topic provided in the guidelines below is broad. I’m open to a topic that interests you provided it fits those guidelines. I work for a blockchain research company, so salient, trendy topics are within my scope of familiarity if you’re into that. I also thought about comparing previous yield curve inversions and inflationary cycles to our current economic environment. Just a thought. I’m assuming you’re in the U.S. I just need a 12-pager and I ran out of time this semester… 🙂

Construct a Traditional Assessment Instructions
Construct a Traditional Assessment Develop an assessment (TEST/EXAM) of elementary school students’ learning on an Earth or Life Science topic. Suppose that the time available for the assessment is a single period of approximately 50 minutes.
1. Include a cover page and identify grade level. Example: 3rd Grade
2. Include Georgia Standard of Excellence being assessed. When you include GSE, you always write out the standard and substandard(s) being addressed (not just the codes). Example:
S3E1. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the physical attributes of rocks and soils.
a. Ask questions and analyze data to classify rocks by their physical attributes (color, texture, luster, and hardness) using simple tests.
b. Plan and carry out investigations to describe properties (color, texture, capacity to retain water, and ability to support growth of plants) of soils and soil types (sand, clay, loam).

This may range from an inflexible “keyed” answer (e. g., multiple choice) to a prespecified range of anticipated more or less acceptable answers (e. g., short answer) to a more general “checklist” of elements that must be included in a constructed response (e. g., longer essay and/or diagram).

Results from Unrepresentative Samples
Sample design is very important. For example, in the U.S. 2000 presidential election, Florida was initially declared for the Democratic candidate based on a sample that did not truly reflect the entire state. Careful consideration must be paid to ensure a representative sample if we are inferring those results on a population.
Locate & Complete
Have you seen or read about an example where data were presented on an issue, but the sample was not representative of the population from which it was drawn? If you can’t recall a specific example, locate one using an Internet search.
For this discussion, summarize the issue and respond to the following questions.
Why do you believe the sample was not representative of the population?
What are the undesirable consequences of using a poor sampling technique?
How could the inaccurate reporting of the data been prevented?
Tip: Copy and paste the questions into your initial post.
Your initial response should be four paragraphs in length. Use current APA formatting to cite your sources.
Romanesque art
Review the Kahn Academy here first: The Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela
Romanesque architecture, architectural style current in Europe from about the mid-11th century to the advent of Gothic architecture in the mid-12th century. A fusion of Roman, Carolingian and Ottonian, Byzantine, and local Germanic traditions, it was a product of the great expansion of monasticism in the 10th–11th century. One of the most important artistic developments in the Romanesque period is the pilgrimage church. the European continent, most of the routes led to Santiago de Compostela, the burial place of St. James. Along the way other churches were built — to showcase their important relics and attract pilgrims, an economic advantage to developing medieval towns. Pilgrimages were an important feature of public devotion, done as an act of contrition or in hope for a miraculous cure from some physical ailment.
Choose one of the following then answer the question at the very bottom of these instructions:
1. Watch film (but there might be a fee, it depends on your subscriptions),
There is a 2010 film called “The Way” that takes place along the Camino de Santiago. It is about an American father who travels to France to recover the body of his estranged son who died while traveling “El camino de Santiago” from France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. You can watch the movie on Netflix or Amazon or any similar place. (For to watch, there was a fee of $1.99.) If you do not have access to the film, you can simply watch the trailer here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5VZKWcgw6c . If you can get the film I would encourage you to watch it for this discussion board.
2. Listen to poem read by its author
Another option is to listen to this contemporary Irish-English poet, David Whyte read his poem “Finisterre” written in 2012 here: https://soundcloud.com/onbeing/finisterre-by-david-whyte.
This 2012 poem is about “finisterre” which means “land’s end” and it is the place where the Camino de Santiago ends. Whyte wrote the poem after his daughter had walked the Camino and told him about her experience there. She said that everyone – all the modern day pilgrims or seekers or walkers – leaves their shoes at this place to signify that they completed the journey. In other words, figuratively speaking, they no longer need their shoes.
For either one you choose: Tell me how the movie or the poem relate modern desire or need for a pilgrimage to those of the original pilgrims. Would you consider doing such a thing?
