First and foremost, the methodology have to be described. I conducted 7 interviews with startups and asked them about CSR topics. The interviews are in the file sector. This questions I want to have considered.

1. What is the importance of CSR for you/your company? What kind of measures are you already implementing? What positive effects do your measures have?
2. Does CSR have a significant impact on your company’s performance?
3. Do people applying for jobs with you pay attention to social activities of the employer and a sustainable and environmentally friendly business model?
4. How have you implemented social responsibility in your company? As a founder, did you try to implement sustainability in each of your major decisions or did you hire people to take care of this area from the beginning?
5. CSR is an attractive factor in the marketing area and of course for the environment and future, however CSR measures also cost money. For startups, profitability should be the first priority in order to compete in the market as well as to survive in the long run. Were there CSR measures that cost you more than they benefited you or did you have to do without something?
6. Do you think that companies that establish CSR in their corporate structures are more successful in the end than those that do not? Or if you don’t establish it, are more likely to fail in the future? Or is it just a momentary trend that many companies are taking advantage of to gain prestige?
7. How do investors benefit from corporate social responsibility? Has Establishing CSR helped you in your search for investors?

A. Methodology
· This chapter will examine how the study will be carried out, which includes different elements like data collection and analysis process. It includes the research strategy, qualitative research considerations, and ethical implications of the study.
i. Research Strategy – The research will adopt the case study approach, where data will be collected through semi-structured interviews with a view to answering the research questions. Case study strategy involves exploring the research phenomenon or topic within a number of real-life contexts or within its context. It may be considered the opposite of experimental studies because it does not allow the research to manipulate particular behaviors. The case study approach is appropriate for this study because the purpose is to gain an in-depth understanding of the importance of adopting social responsibility for startups which is the research focus.
ii. Data collection method – The study will largely rely on primary data with a qualitative research design for data collection. Qualitative data is often predominant in exploratory research, which is the position of this research study. Interviews with the research subjects are considered the most suitable data collection tool for this study. Besides, there are different types of interviews that can be adopted when carrying out this type of research with a critical connection to the research strategy, research design, and research question. The study will therefore use structured interviews that will be qualitatively analyzed to enable an in-depth collection of information and understanding of the topic.
iii. Qualitative data collection – Qualitative data will be gathered through semi-structured interviews. It will offer a brief overview of semi-structured interviews and their advantages or disadvantages over the other strategies.
