What would be some of the benefits of changing the system to one that is more sustainable?

Agricultural policy has, since the end of WWII, been focused on increasing the production of commodity crops like corn, wheat, and soy. These efforts have been tremendously successful, for example corn production went from 22 bushels an acre in the 1940s to over 200 bushels an acre today. However, these policies have also led to the decline in the number of farms and the decline in the diversity of farms while also increasing soil loss, increasing soil infertility, and releasing carbon into the atmosphere. Agriculture can be changed, returning to practices on a large-scale that are restorative. Examine the following:
A quick visual of our current animal agricultural system: search in this site: https://www.foodandwaterwatch.org/
An amusing presentation on our current situation and possibility for change, “How I Fell in Love with a Fish”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=4EUAMe2ixCI
A different consideration of our productivity: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/8/3/034015/meta I happen to really like this article but if you click the video on the page, it gives you a quick over view.
Read an article by Michael Pollan, one of the foremost writers on all things food related. https://michaelpollan.com/articles/ Select from the sustainable agriculture, agricultural policy or environment sections.
Do a web search for “Regenerative Agriculture”, how is this defined and select a video to review and share.
Remember Drawdown, the scientifically researched solutions to the climate crisis? How many are related to food/agriculture? Which one do you find compelling? https://www.drawdown.org/
After considering at least three resources use specific details to share what you learned, and how your thinking on the issue has been impacted, including but not limited to:
(a) Assess the degree to which you think our society should implement strategies to change our food/agricultural policies?
(b) What problems are associated with the current system?
(c) What would be some of the benefits of changing the system to one that is more sustainable?

How do you view yourself as a global change agent in light of the topics covered in this seminar course?

Discussion: Seminar
Reflection Discussion
To prepare for this
Discussion, reflect on the research you have reviewed, the presentations
you have made and evaluated, and the Discussions in which you have engaged over
the last 7 weeks of this course.

Post an assessment
of the seminar content and evaluation of the research design. Your assessment
should address the following:
How does the research and
content presented in this course inform or relate to your individual
Doctoral Study? What research methods or strategic analysis approaches
might be useful in answering the questions that you have posed?
Consider the articles you
have read and evaluate how the methods of data collection, research
statistics employed, and overall research designs have enlightened your
individual approach to research. Is there anything about your approach to
your individual research that the literature in this seminar has
reinforced or confirmed?
Were you exposed to any new
sources of data that will be useful in your Doctoral Study? Be specific in
your answer.
How do you view yourself as
a global change agent in light of the topics covered in this seminar
course?
Be sure to support
your work with a minimum of two specific citations from this
week’s Learning Resources and at least one additional scholarly source.

What should the firm’s top executives, including Michael, have done differently to retain Lisa?

Case# 14.1 “The Glass Ceiling”, places focus on “Inclusion & Credibility” and is found on pages 410-411. Please answer all 4 questions on page 411, for full points. Please clearly number and label each question that you respond to.
Be sure to check punctuation and grammar. If you use any external sources, please properly cite and reference according to APA style. Upload your case as a Word or Notes document.
Here are some guiding questions to help you answer the questions fully for Case 14.1:
1. What advancement barriers did Lisa encounter? (Did Michael have stereotypes about women’s ability to perform? If so, (or if not) explain.)
2. What should the firm’s top executives, including Michael, have done differently to retain Lisa? (Does Michael need training about gender bias and prejudice? Were other executives also responsible for Lisa’s situation? Should they have spoken up for her?)
3. What type of organizational policies and opportunities might have benefited Lisa and Pamela? (Should there be a change in organizational culture? Explain. Should there be a focus on hiring and retaining women? Mentorship programs? Professional Development? Explain.)
4. What could the organization do to raise the gender conscientiousness of Michael and Lisa’s male colleagues? (Should there be consequences for any differential treatment or prejudicial statements? Should the firm assign mentors to Lisa and Pamela?)

Discuss what you learned about vision, spirituality, healing modalities and the significance of these realities?

Also discuss if you may begin to incorporate some of these healing modalities into your life and why or why not? Are the Dagaran ideas applicable for us today, why or why not? Explain

Write a paper based on all three readings on authencity, location and hip hop.

Write a paper based on all three readings on authencity, location and hip hop.
For your assignment this week you will write a critical essay based on the 2 articles posted below. Your essay must integrate two essential components:
a summary of central points, arguments, or findings presented by the assigned author(s); and
an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the major landings or arguments of the author(s).
Your evaluation should be the driving force behind your critical reflection; develop an argument about the reading and supply appropriate evidence–illustrations from the reading–to support your assertions. As long as you don’t get side-tracked by minor points, you’ll discover that you’ve summarized the central points of the reading via your evaluation. In other words, your evaluation should focus on the central ideas, major findings, research methods, or the fit between theory and evidence in the assigned reading. Although this objective may appear daunting at first, your evaluation skills and your ability to articulate your evaluations will improve with practice.
I recommend that you organize each essay in the following manner. The first paragraph should introduce the reader to the general topic, summarize the central argument or theme of the assigned reading, and present your general argument about the assigned reading. The last sentence of the first paragraph should clearly articulate your own central thesis about your overall evaluation of the readings.
Please note that your thesis statement–your argument– is not the central thesis of the assigned reading. Each paragraph in the body of the essay should begin with a concise topic sentence that supports your central thesis. Finish the essay with a conclusion that brings the reader back to your central thesis without merely repeating it.

Write a discussion paper on Speciesism and Human Experimentation

Write a discussion paper on Speciesism and Human Experimentation
This research essay should be 3100 words and APA 7th edition style. Thes research paper is on the topic Speciesism and Human Experimentation. In principle, any text or material you select can count as a source, which you should add to your bibliography or list of references. There are no exact rules for the maximum number of sources you select for this research paper. The minimum number, however, is TWO academic sources (articles from online journals, books or book chapters)- in addition to the mandatory text for the research paper (George J. Annas and Michael Grodin (eds.), The Nazi Doctors and the Nuremberg Code: Human rights in Human Experimentation, Oxford University Press, New York, 1995) You may add newspaper articles, interviews from magazines, cite from documentaries or other film materials, or use internet sources that provide information about relevant organizations or agencies.
The research paper should make use of the mandatory text in a way that is academically appropriate. You still have to incorporate information from the book (George J. Annas and Michael Grodin (eds.), The Nazi Doctors and the Nuremberg Code: Human rights in Human experimentation, Oxford University Press, New York, 1995) As a rule, you should use this mandatory text at least three times in the course of writing your final paper. You can do it in a number of ways. For example, you can use the book for description and fact-finding, or for best practices and recommendations, or for ethical assessment and judgment, or for legal commentary, or for critical objectives (where you express your disagreement with something). If your paper makes use of the mandatory text in an academically appropriate way, this will count toward its quality as an independedent paper (please see rubric).

The following should be included in the paper:
1.) An introduction where you state what your topic is, how you are going to address it, that is, what your method is, what ethical theories, positions or principles you will make use of, and what your hypothesis is.*

2.) Two or more main selections that are devoted to descriptive analysis and normative assessment of the topic. For the descriptive analysis, you can make use of case studies, either hypothetical or real-world cases (Please make certain that you verify the cases with the use of sources). For the normative assessment, you may function as a judge or, alternatively, treat the topic as a dilemma and make a comparison of the arguments and positions. If you choose to treat the topic as a dilemma, you should have a fifty-fifty-distribution. If you proceed as a judge, you do not have to have an equal distribution. If you proceed as a judge, you do not have to have an equal distribution but you do have to make some mentioning of opposing views, objections, or criticisms. In either case, you should signal your preference- for a purely comparative method or for a mixed method that contains prescriptions**

3.) A conclusion where you summarize your findings. Make certain that this is consistent with the introduction.

4.) A bibliography or list of references where you list all your sources.

*Note: For the purpose of formulating your hypothesis, please note that you can arrive at this by asking yourself “Why am I interested in this topic?” If you ask this question, you have taken the first step toward our hypothesis. For example, a student may choose to write about the topic of abortion and – after having asked herself or himself “Why am I interested in this topic?” discover that it is because s/he believes that classical pro-life is the morally right response to the issue. If so, that same student can now formulate her/his hypothesis along the following lines: “For the purpose of writing my final paper, I have chosen to write about the topic of abortion. My hypothesis is that there are morally superior reasons in support of the classical pro-life argument. I will outline these while making use of two real-world cases, and furthermore, fundamental principles from deontological ethics and universalism. While the pro-choice argument will be accomodated in a comparative analysis, the emphasis is on the prescriptive evaluation of the issue.”

**Note that the choice of method is closely connected with your hypothesis. If you have an idea which also expresses an ideal – as in “Abortion should never be allowed…. which is why classical pro-life is morally compelling on comparison, the right response to the issue” – then a mixed method follows from this. Note also that if you adopt a purely comparative method, then your hypotheis has to be formulated along the lines of this. For example, if a student writes about the issue of abortion s/he can state that: “For the purpose of writing my final paper, I have chosen to write about the topic of abortion. My hypothesis is that the pro-life versus pro-choice dilemma is an important one which continues to cause ethical tensions in America. For the same reason, the issue and dilemma warrants scrutiny. I intend to contrast the arguments in the context of one important legal case (Roe v Wade). The account will not include this author’s own perscriptive response (in the form of recommendations, best practices, or similar types of judgments) and, therefore, the paper does not go beyond a purely comparative method.”

****THE PAPER SHOULD SATISFY THE RUBRIC ( I ATTACHED THE FILE), 3100 WORD LIMIT, NO PLAGIARISM!!! I WILL CHECK.******
