For the Term Paper, you are to write 7-10 pages (cover page and bibliography page do not count). Use the American Psychological Association (APA) style. Cite the required textbook, (Sense and nonsense about crime drugs and communities 8th edition 2015 by Samuel Walker) and a minimum of 3 scholarly articles.

I. Introduction
The introduction should have some of the following elements:
□ Start with an attention grabber: a short story, example, statistic, or historical context that introduces the paper topic
□ Give an overview of any issues involved with the subject
□ Highlight background information on the topic needed to understand the direction
of the paper
The introduction must end with a THESIS statement (a 1 to 2 sentences in length):

□ Briefly outline the main points in the paper
II. Body
□ Clearly present the main points of the paper as listed in the thesis
□ Give strong examples, details, and explanations to support each main points
□ Define any key terminology needed to understand the topic
III. Conclusion
□ Restate your thesis from the introduction in different words
□ Briefly summarize each main point found in the body of the paper (avoid going over 2 sentences for each point)
□ End with a strong clincher statement: an appropriate, meaningful final sentence that ties the whole point of the paper together (may refer back to the attention grabber)

Identify a preschool setting that provides educational programs for 3- and 4-year-olds. Arrange to visit and interview a teacher and to observe in his or her classroom for at least two hours. Use the “Interview Guide” document to inform your questions during your scheduled interview.
Keeping in mind all you have learned about the context of the preschool program and the standards that inform its curriculum, plan three learning experiences around a central theme chosen in collaboration with the teacher you interview. Use the template provided in the “Learning Experience Plan Template” document to create the three learning experiences.
Taken together, the three learning experiences must include all content areas addressed in the Rubric (literacy; math, science, and technology; health; play; and the arts) and must address all domains of development (cognitive, social, emotional, and physical).
