What did your character do, or fail to do, to influence the action/events?
When something tragic happens people tend to want to point a finger at someone or something. Sometimes individuals step up and accept the blame themselves; other times, individuals search for another person to pin the blame on. When thinking of the events in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, who (or what) would you say is most to blame?
This assignment is a persuasive, argumentative essay in which you will prove to the reader that a particular character, characters, or fate itself is to blame for the events that unfold in the play Macbeth. You will use textual evidence to support your assessment of blame. Be sure to think about your chosen character’s actions, thoughts, and speech throughout the entire play. You will include a thesis statement that clearly states who is to blame for the tragic events in the play.
Things to Consider:
What did your character do, or fail to do, to influence the action/events?
Would the events have turned out differently if it weren’t for your character’s speech, thoughts, or actions?
What do other characters think about your character?
To what extent was your character or characters influenced by others?
How sympathetic should we be towards the various characters in the play?
You will need to look back through the play to find significant quotes that reveal your character’s blame in order to fully support your paper.
Requirements:
You may choose from any of the characters in the play; the most popular choices would be Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, and the witches (you may also choose fate, though this will be significantly more challenging).
You must include at least six parenthetical citations.
One paragraph should acknowledge and REFUTE a potential opposing argument
The paper must be typed in Times New Roman font, 12 pt. font, double spaced, one inch margins, given an original title, and two to three pages in length typewritten.
Essay must be proofread. It should be spell checked, grammar checked, read by you, and read by another person before being turned in.

Creative Writing Assignment – The Personal Narrative
Can you think of something that has happened to you in the past that has shaped who you are or that stands out to you as a significant moment in your life? It can be something positive or negative that has made an impression on you. Maybe it’s something that was truly comedic that you think an audience would appreciate. Perhaps it is something that caused you to quit a bad habit, overcome a fear, move to different town, or introduce you to your current best friend. Whatever it is, it probably makes a wonderful story. So it is up to you to tell us that story. Pick an event from your past, an event that is school appropriate, and relay the story to us, your audience, using the following elements:
*Show, don’t tell
*Nonfiction
*Use only one specific story in your life it does not cover your entire life story.
*A good personal narrative will keep us on the edge of our seats.
These are the instructions that were given to us. This is for a sophomore in high school paper. It does not have to be perfect. I will send you an example of what she find poor and great essays.

Good Morning Dr. Guevarez and fellow classmates,
My name is Anna. I am a mother of two children who have medical and special needs. My life is BUSY, FULL, and never is there a dull moment. I live in Virginia and am in school for my business administration bachelor’s degree. I also raise Pomksy pups (a mix of a husky and pomeranian), and if you know anything about either of those breeds, you know they are full of energy and absolutely sneaky. They bring tons of laughs our way and life is undoubtedly enhanced by their silly antics.
Moving forward with the material portion, I wanted to add that I did a little digging on Zappos. I have always heard they were a great company to buy from and work for.
Customer service plays a vital role in business. The service received by a customer can make or break their future purchases and the opinion they give to prospective customers. Zappos actually did away with managers in 2015 and instead utilized a form of self-organization. They also have their service delivered by what they call the CLT (Customer Loyalty Team). In terms of their service management skills, they allow their representatives to have an unlimited amount of time on the phone and utilize no scripts at all. They have their reps focused on solutions and make them easily accessible to customers. Additionally, they offer a 365-day return policy with shipping and returns being free. That is almost unheard of in the industry.
Operation and management activities by having an e-commerce store could lend difficulties to customer service issues; however, Zappos has genuinely made it possible and provides top-level service.
Suppose you made an Amazon purchase. You try it on and realize it must be retuned because it does not fit. While Amazon makes it easy to go into your account and order section and return an eligible item, you sometimes have to pay for shipping. Other times, you must print a label and take it to an approved drop-off location. It can seem simple but getting an explanation as to why you did not have to pay for the return of the shirt but do for the pants is painstaking. Reps are often not easy to understand and very clearly use pre-scripted responses. It feels impersonal and dry. Perhaps you also want the pants but in a different size. That is not a simple return to make with them.
Clearly, Zappos has set the bar for online shopping, organizational management and culture, and customer service.
