What is the problem presented?

Inclusion Case Study
Each student will assume the role of a teacher/researcher and select a problem related to inclusion of special needs students. The focus of the research will be to arrive at practical solutions to the problem. There are several components to this task.
Section I is the introduction of your report. It is based on your Research Problem Statement. It should begin by telling the reader about the case study you read and the inclusion problem presented in the article (case study). Who is involved? What is the problem presented? What are the class dynamics like? How does the teacher address the problem? What research question will you pursue? Include both a research question and a thesis statement in section 1.
Section 2 is a “review of the literature”. You will read 3-5 articles on the topic you selected. The articles must be from appropriate scholarly journals. One of the articles may be from an appropriate on-line website such as www.cast.org , http://www.splcenter.org/center/tt/teach.jsp , http://www.ncld.org/ , http://www.cldinternational.org/ . (If you are unsure whether your article or website is appropriate, please consult with your seminar professor.) You will synthesize what you learned about your topic/problem from your review of literature in response to your research question and in alignment with your thesis statement. This section should specifically address what the research indicates about how to best meet the needs of students with disabilities.
Section 3 is a plan for the future. From what you read in the case study, the problem you identified, and the mini-literature review you have done discuss how you will or could extend this area of research during Field Experience III (where you will be asked to do a student case study). How will this study help you to improve your observations of a master teacher? How will this study help you to plan lessons (instruction) in the future? What are the most important things you are taking away from this study? Did you learn how to address the needs of students with disabilities? If so, how? What would you like to learn more about in the future?
Finally, you should include a reference list (bibliography) of at least three to five sources you used in your research, including your case study.
Your entire paper should be 5 pages long not regarding cover page or resource page. Use APA format to cite sources, quotations, and references. Double space your paper and use size 12 font (Times New Roman or Arial only).

3. Describe the connection between the body and the mind, (physical/somatic symptoms).
4. From a personal viewpoint, how can trauma affect individuals spiritual or religious beliefs?
5. Include two resources using APA format.
APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite. A link to the LopesWrite technical support articles is located in Class Resources if you need assistance.
step 22
In the assignment due at the end of this week (Week 2) one of the questions asks what is the Effect of Trauma on the Brain? Be sure to provide information that explains how trauma affects the brain, not just the mind. Some might get the wrong impression from this statement. that the mind and brain are two different things. To help clarify, we can look at the mind and the brain as two separate entities of the same organ, which is unique, and probably the only organ in the body that has such a dual role.
A good way to look at it is to use a computer as an analogy. With a computer you have the hardware and the software. Hardware would include the keyboard, mouse, and internal components of the computer like the circuit boards. These all need to be working properly for the computer to be functional. Software would be the applications you have like Word, Acrobat, and the browsers you use. Hardware has an effect on the software, and if the hardware isn’t working properly the software can become compromised.
Trauma is like pouring water on a computer. It can compromise the hardware (brain) thereby having an affect on the proper functioning of the software (mind).

Write a research paper for the Alternative treatments for depression.

Write a research paper for the Alternative treatments for depression. For this paper, you will argue for a viable SOLUTION to the community problem/issue that you have been researching this semester. If you can’t think of a full solution to the problem, then propose a way that would help alleviate the issue. The solution needs to be something realistic but based on your opinion and in need of defending. In other words, you will use argumentation techniques and research to persuade your audience that your solution is the best one for the issue.

The paper needs to be a sustained, in depth argument in which you will propose and defend ONE POSSIBLE SOLUTION to the issue you have been researching. This means that you cannot be arguing for multiple possibilities at the same time. You may have to narrow down your research topic even more until you get something you can tackle appropriately in a five to seven page paper. Your thesis statement will clearly define what your solution is; your paper will be breaking the solution down into reasons why your proposed solution is best.

Please keep in mind that this paper is NOT just reporting on the issue. While you will need to establish briefly in a paragraph or two towards the beginning of the paper what the problem is in your field that you are focusing on solving, THE BULK OF THE PAPER NEEDS TO BE ARGUING THE BEST WAY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. If you are not defending your solution throughout the whole paper, then it is a report and not an argumentation paper.

The argument paper must include a clear thesis statement, main idea sentences that further along the argument, and a variety of examples and data to back up your claims. In other words, you must spend time coming up with an outline to your argument and carefully selecting data that strengthens your assertions. This, however, does NOT mean that you can just cherry pick data. Rather, your paper needs to accurately depict the findings of your research and avoid misleading your readers.

As you craft your research-based argumentation paper, you will be thinking about pathos, ethos, and logos and how to properly use them to persuade your audience to your side of the argument. When structuring your argument, you may use one of the following arrangements out of chapter 11 in your 10 Core Concepts book:

– The Classical Arrangement*
– The Rogerian Argument
– Inductive reasoning
– Deductive reasoning

* You may also use the Toulmin model variant of this found in Chapter 3 of The Well-Crafted Argument
This is not something that you can just write as a stream-of-consciousness argument. Rather, you must take time to map out your ideas using one of the above structures and consider the rhetorical situation at all times. The paper needs to reflect reader-based prose where you demonstrate an understanding of where your audience is coming from and use this to address your rhetorical challenges.

This paper is going to be a research-based argumentation paper, where you will need to incorporate at least five outside sources from credible authors, and two of these need to be peer-reviewed articles.
