For this discussion, let’s consider the robbery of a bank. Four people are involved, and two go inside. The third keeps the getaway car running and ready, and the fourth backed out of the plan altogether and is not present when the robbery takes place. However, he is the mastermind who helped organize and plan this robbery.

When the robbers enter the bank, a security guard shoots and kills one robber, and the other robber then shoots and kills the security guard. The bank president pulls a gun and attempts to shoot the remaining robber, but misses and hits a teller instead. The teller does not survive.

So then, we have much to consider here. Let’s break that down:

What would the two robbers be charged with? (Yes, I see the twist there) 🙂

What would the robber in the car be charged with, and why?

What would the robber who backed out be charged with, if anything, and why?

Who would be charged with the death of the teller?

Let’s think about each of the potential charges this week, and about why our system is set up in this way!

Prepare a 10- to 15-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation on decision making. In your presentation, include the following:

Presentation should include a title slide, introduction slide, research slides, conclusion slide, and a reference slide. List major points on the slides using bullet points which are should be limited to approximately five lines; approximately five words per bulleted item. Add a paragraph (approximately 100 words) to the speaker notes to support the bullet points with a citation to give credit to the source. Speaker notes are not required on the Title or Reference Slide.

There are three main sections, in the first section you are to investigate the economic viability of a proposed wastewater treatment plant.

Complete your paper of 6–8 pages, plus cover page and references page, explaining your investigation of three hypothetical practice sites for an EBP QI project.

Continue working on your Module 3 Assignment to complete this week. Keep in mind that the key requirements are to identify a hypothetical practice problem as the focus of an evidence-based quality improvement project; a hypothetical health care setting for the project based on investigating actual sites; stakeholders for project approval and implementation within health care settings; and a presentation outlining the basic steps of a specific framework/model for translating research and evidence to improved practice.
Although “hypothetical” is the watchword for this Assignment, the substantial effort you have invested and the information and insights obtained can pay real dividends as you begin your DNP project in earnest.
