2. How did Jazz scores change the way television was scored? Compare and contrast several examples of jazz scoring and pop scoring in television. How are they the same? How are they different? Again, use specific examples from Peter Gunn, “The Frog,” and Johnny Staccato, “The Shop of the Four Winds” (Youtube these episodes)

For Jazz scores – reference the following Jazz music composers: Elmer Bernstein (wrote music for Johnny Staccato show) and Henry Mancini (who wrote the music for Peter Gunn)

Option 2: Humor targeted toward or directed against women

For this exercise, you are required to find a cartoon or a joke that is either targeted toward women

c.) What gender assumptions are embedded in the cartoon/meme/joke? In other words, what gender

d.) How do the assumptions regarding gender, race, class, sexual orientation, etc. that are embedded

the scholars on the list above (see top of page) can be used to analyze the gender assumptions of the
