How does the knowledge typically produced by the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities differ?

Knowledge takes many forms: there are many ways of knowing about a subject matter. Some knowledge is in the form of high-level abstract principles, for example, whereas other knowledge gives you details of individual events. These ways of knowing are distributed among academic disciplines: the knowledge that we get from sociology is different from that which we get from history, for example. In order to recognise and use knowledge, and especially in order to be able to combine knowledge from different disciplines, it is useful to survey some of the kinds of knowledge that exist.

Write an essay of 1000 words (10% margin) in Chicago style.

Essay topic:
Write a short essay on the following question: How does the knowledge typically produced by the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities differ?

Possible ways to develop your essay if you wish:
• In the field of International Studies, how does knowledge from each of the three groups of sciences make a useful contribution? Give examples.
• How have the nomothetic and idiographic approaches contributed to creating the academic field of International Studies?
• In your own specialist discipline (or discipline in which you hope to specialise), which of the approaches makes the largest contribution? What contribution does or could knowledge of the approach make? Why is this so?

Write the algorithm using pseudocode.

Assignment I 2022Submit on MoodlePurpose: This assignment will introduce you to using control flow (branching) and formulating a computational solution (algorithm design) to a problem. In this assignment, create an algorithm to solve the problem. Write the algorithm using pseudocode. Create a data description table called Input-Output (IO) table. Draw an Input Processing Output (IPO) table, indicating the variables used. Test the algorithm using correct and incorrect data. To do that, you must use the trace table.Thorn in your Salary: You have just graduated and now have a wonderful job. But surprise, surprise there is tax. The tax payable on your salary is calculated as follows:If the salary is less than R15 000, no tax is paid. If the salary is between R15 000 and R45 000, tax paid is 20% of the salary. If the salary is more than R45000, tax is R10000 plus 25% of the amount over R45 000. If the tax paid is more than R20000, the program should print the message “You are paying a lot of tax”.The salary is read from the keyboard and the corresponding tax paid should be displayed on the screen. The algorithm should validate the input before anything is processed or calculated. The algorithm should display a message if the input read is incorrect. The End1

Field Project #3 – Select a magazine of your choice and analyze the content of several issues, and, if possible, compare the print version to the on-line version (including analyzing differences in advertising and size of readership). Write a report addressing the type of magazine, the substance of its content, the type of advertising it carries, the audience it’s targeting, and your conclusions regarding its effectiveness in achieving its objectives. Also examine the advertising content with regard to the target market of the ads (gender, age, socioeconomic status (SES)). Be sure to include a reference to the issues (dates) studied. Research and include what company owns the magazine. Be sure to include SCHOLARLY* research to help make sense of your results (with proper citations).
• -3 pts for failing to disclose which magazine (and subsequent issues/dates) was analyzed
• -3 pts for failing to discuss online version (or if one even exists)
• -2 pts each for discussing online version but failing to:
o Analyze differences in advertising
o Analyze differences in readership
• -2 pts each for failing to thoroughly discuss:
o Type of magazine/substance
o Advertising it carries
o Audience that is being targeted
o Student conclusions regarding the magazine’s effectiveness in achieving its objectives
