Social Problems Analysis and Solution You will pick a specific social problem that we covered in class (or one we didn’t if you approve the topic with me). You will discuss the scope of the problem, apply theory and propose some solutions. Your paper should be 4-6 pages in length, typed, double spaced, a title, all theories and concepts are in bold and carefully proof read. PAPER ORGANIZATION: Introduction: You should have a brief introductory paragraph describing your social problem were at your service learning site. If applicable, you can incorporate application of social problems terms/concepts/theories in your introduction. Topic focused paragraphs: You need to have at least 3 paragraphs that are focused on your social problems. You need to discuss the scope of the problem in one be sure to be specific in describing the problem and use terms, concepts and data as presented in lecture and your text. In the next paragraph, you should choose at least one main sociological theory or perspective and discuss how that theory helps explain the social problem. In your last paragraph you need to suggest a social policy or policies to solve or alleviate the negative consequences of the social problem. Basically, what can be done to help solve the problem. Conclusion: You will complete your essay with a brief conclusion to wrap up your paper.
