Instructions You are now engaged in a research project! This can be a very exciting and intimidating process, but you have a great support network to help you. Take just a moment to think about something you have researched in the past, and describe what that experience was like. What did you research? What were your reasons for researching it? What did you find out about the topic and about yourself? Did you find yourself seeking out primary or secondary sources? What kinds of sources did you use? How did you choose your topic, and what was the result of your research? Feel free to choose any experience. You do not have to limit yourself to an academic research topic. You might reflect upon research that you did for your job, or you might want to reflect upon a time that you researched a large purchase, such as a new computer or a car. Your journal entry must be at least 200 words. No references or citations are necessary.

Supreme Court and Politics
On occasion, Supreme Court Justices will weigh in on the political issues of the day. For instance, Justice Ginsburg offered personal opinion concerning the presidential campaign of 2016. In an essay, please address the following: What are the ethical obligations of judges when it comes to political matters? Should the Supreme Court weigh in on political matters of the day in a direct manner? Explain. Regardless of the ethical or other obligations of the Supreme Court, is it realistic for the public to expect the court to abstain from political discourse when they are appointees of the president? Explain. How can justices “walk the tightrope” between how they are legally supposed to support the Constitution, while still being true to their personal political worldview? Or can they? Explain.

Instructions Follow the directions below for the completion of the Annotated Bibliography assignment for Unit II. If you have questions, please email your professor for assistance. Purpose: The purpose of the annotated bibliography is to summarize the sources that you have gathered to support your research proposal project. Each entry will consist of a reference list citation, a summary of the source’s information, and a one-sentence assessment. Each annotation should be between 150 to 200 words. Critical Thinking Discussion
The purpose of this assignment is to relate the concepts of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment to your professional practice. Required reading: textbook: Professional Issues in Nursing (Huston, 2017), Chapter 15. Reflection can be an important strategy in the development of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment. It allows for evaluation of events and consideration of how an event might have been handled differently, more effectively, more efficiently. Just as with history, understanding past events allows us to prevent repeating the same mistakes…or, in nursing, it allows us to modify our actions, should the same situation recur. Sometimes, the reflection allows us to take apart the event and to analyze its parts, recognizing just how well the actions taken have contributed to the successful solution. Your assignment related to the concepts of critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment is to reflect on your practice and present a situation in which: Critical thinking, clinical reasoning, or clinal judgment was evident or Critical thinking, clinical reasoning, or clinical judgment was not evident (impeded). Briefly summarize the situation and identify the defining attributes and the enhancing factors that were present (critical thinking, clinical reasoning, clinical judgment evident) or that were notably absent (critical thinking, clinical reasoning, clinical judgment) not evident or impeded). Your situation may be client based, or it may be an episode with colleagues, or even within the health care system where you work(ed). (If you have never worked in a health care environment, consider life experiences you have had for this assignment.) Make sure that you use the terms you have learned from your reading, cite the article properly within your discussion, and provide a reference citation.
